The fix for this was not ready in time for the 2.7.0.2 patch. It is scheduled to be fixed in the next patch, which I believe is 2.7.1, which should be released later this month.

At this time, I only know what the community managers mentioned about the 2.7.1 patch on Reddit, which was that it was scheduled for later this month. If that has changed, I've not seen them discuss it yet. Watch for today's TWAB as it will likely be discussed there.

Any idea on when the new update is coming out this month? Because I’m stuck at 0% for enemies on this quest and I’m grinding out the savior title I have 20/28 I’m almost there and it would suck for me not to get the title having not completed this one thing due to bungies errors. I think if a quest is bug they should automatically give or make it completed for players if it gets bugged. Would be fair.

All I know is what the community managers have said with regards to this particular bug. The last information I read was next patch and later this month. Bungie typically releases patches on Tuesdays, coinciding with the weekly reset. As there is only one more Tuesday this month I would presume they are planning to release something next week. We should know more in today's TWAB, however, so keep your eyes open for that. As for how the patch will handle lost progress, or what you refer to as fairness, I don't know and won't speculate on.

It will likely have us pick up from where the quest thinks we are. There are too many players for them to be tracking data that meticulously and then reward us for the early completion. Yea it’s kinda dumb but they can only do so much to benefit us in this situation. Most of the quests that are glitches aren’t all that difficult anyways, they are just tedious and sometimes boring.
