removed from competitive match, given a warning, and told to check my network...

well, i did check my network and not only is it top notch but its working great. i was warned that leaving competitive matches early can lead to penalizations, and i dont think this should be the case when my network is top notch (Gig internet) and never had any problems during the game. i did diagnostics and ran speed tests, and everything is golden on my end. please remove this leaving match early warning and occurence from my account, as this was clearly a game issue and absolutely nothing was wrong on my end. i could be dropping a 0.01 k/d and i still stick the game out, because i am aware of these penalties. its not fair if its not my fault. thank you.

I am no expert on these matters but we do have some very tech-savvy people who are. To enable those people to help you troubleshoot could you provide information to the questions below and do a test at the link provided and type your results in with your reply. Test Here Are you getting errors? How many gaming platforms use your router? How many people and devices are using your connection? Are you using a wired or wireless connection? Do you use other things like chat, Spotify, while playing games etc?

  • Run the latency test at testmy.net: https://testmy.net/latency Click the icon with the eye on it to run all the tests back to back. Watch what the line graphs are doing. If they are continually spiking really high and you keep getting high deviation numbers, then you may have a latency/jitter problem for your ISP to investigate. Each of the individual test graphs will note the address it tested, so you can look closer at that particular route (run traces and such)... sometimes a certain exchange point is a common denominator they can look at. There is another batch ping test you can run at dslreports.com for extra comparison as well: http://www.dslreports.com/tools/pingtest Yes, I know many of the test locations are a long way away and the core latency will be too high for the game... what you are testing for is the consistency of the latency. If there is too much jitter or packet loss, the game will boot you. Also need to make sure your local network is in line with Bungie's network guide: https://www.bungie.net/en/Support/Troubleshoot?oid=12915

Your connection to the host was dropped - or you left early before the official end of the match. That's what these warnings are for. The extra notation about checking your connection is just to give you notice that it may be network related. "Your Connection" is everything between the console and the game service PLUS everything between your console and the other player's consoles in the match. Unless you have checked everything on those data routes, you may have had an issue. Another reason would be if you are using wifi and it had a hiccup (very common with wifi and why it is not recommended) OR something else happened (there is no such thing as perfect internet) In the end, it doesn't matter why you left, just that you did. Too many will result in a 30 minute suspension. They are just giving you opportunity to review things before trying again - it used to be an automatic suspension.
