I am in the same situation. I am boiling it down to my RAM that is 8GB and 1600. I think it just seems to low. I don't have an issue on any other game though

I don't think it is a RAM issue. I have 32GB of DDR4 3000 and this still happens. Sometimes it locks the PC entirely and I have to hard reset. Sometimes the game just crashes and I get the stupid Broccoli error. And once I actually got a blue screen with a "Windows memory management" error. Ran memtest and windows memory diagnostic multiple times, never any issues found and I don't have this issue in any other game. I am starting to wonder if there is an issue with how D2 tries to access the computer's memory?
