Hello,
You can only get a total of 4 discount boons a reset day per account.
You only need to complete a total of 4 bounties a day between all 3 characters. Any bounties turned in after the 4th will only give glimmer.

Correct. While any bounties redeemed after the initial four will reward get, if you hold them for the following day they will redeem to boons. This is helpful if you want to grind out the easier ones across multiple characters per day.

I want to say I was in orbit when I clicked on the bounties, since one was crucible, I did the precision kills and scorn together in a strike, and the forge one was I know clicked on while in orbit. Probably no way to get them back now...
