Six looked out the window of the c[i]o[/i]ckpit to get a good view of the planet, but the entirety of the planet’s surface was covered by a lightning storm. A huge fleet of Phantom warships could be seen orbiting the planet in the distance. They haven’t seemed to notice him yet. “Yep. That’s a lot of Phantoms.” His AI broke the silence. “Not counting those who are on the surface... Let’s go see what they’re up to down there.” Six flew the ship down to the planet. As they broke through the clouds, the silence turned into the sound of rain banging against the hull of the ship. “Wait a minute. Look below us.” Six looked down to the surface, and didn’t expect what he saw next. The entire planet’s surface was covered in Phantom camps and facilities. [spoiler]Think Coruscant from Star Wars.[/spoiler] He noticed a large portal like structure out in the open. “I’m guessing that’s the ‘thing’ they were referring to?” “Apparently so. How are we going to defeat the entire Phantom empire?” “I might have an idea. I remember from back when they first invaded, they always had a huge generator that powered their operations. But, they only had one, so destroying it would cause them all to lose power. And one that powers an entire planet should release enough energy on destruction to destroy an entire solar system.” “So we destroy the generator, destroying the entire system and, basically, destroy the entire Phantom empire.” “That’s the idea. And [i]I[/i] am destroying this generator. [i]You[/i] are getting out of this system as soon as I leave the ship.” “Buy why?” “Someone has to make it out alive....” Following that sentence, nobody said a thing. They both knew what would happen next. The ship was in stealth mode while they searched the surface of the planet for the generator. Eight minutes later, they finally found it. It was a huge power plant with pillars of blue, flame-like energy reaching into the sky. I large coil in the center seemed to be the source of their power. “Well... here goes nothing.” Six exited the c[i]o[/i]ckpit, and pulled a lever on the wall. As he did so, a ramp at the back of the ship lowered, and rain started pouring into the ship. The air was cold and thin up here. “Remember, as soon as I jump, get the hell out of this system!” His AI hesitated for a moment before she finally answered. “Good luck...” Siva nanites pieced together to form a helmet over his head, and he jumped out of the ship. He looked up and saw the ship breaking orbit. “She actually listened to me for once.” The rain almost instantly clouded his vision and covered his visor, but he continued nonetheless. Lightning flashed to reveal silhouettes of Phantom warships in the clouds and all Six could hear was his breathing. He checked his supplies using his HUD, before a small orb of energy formed in his hand. As he came close to the ground, he threw the orb to the ground below him and teleported to the spot it landed, to break the fall. He landed in a somewhat open area, Phantom buildings littered the area around him, and in the distance lay the generator. Guarded by thousands, if not millions of Phantoms...... He smirked, and his light machine gun materialized in his hands.
