Your answer is no.
Thundercrash is fine. You do massive burst damage with a big ol AoE effect. Hunters can only do single target damage with golden gun.
You're a Titan; a one man army against hordes of minor enemies. Suck it up buttercup.

It does if you understand Area of Effect (AoE) and you can add. If they gave us more damage, I wouldnt complain, I just don't think it's necessary. The lines between what makes each class special gets continually blurred every time they rebalance the sub classes. All because Titan A wants a damage ability as good or better than Hunter B in every situation. In real MMOs, you pick a class and you fit into a finite number of roles. And if you want to play different roles, you pick a new class. If Bungie keeps people pleasing, rather than learning from successful MMOs as a base, in the end Destiny will be labeled the biggest cluster cluck of all time that didnt get either the FPS or the MMO right.

With celestial it can do much more. Thundercrash which is a one off does around 1/8 of damage to a single strike boss single bar of health with no bonuses to it and you need to throw yourself into the boss. Insurmountable skullfort helps this by making some more supers but it’s still a very low damage output. Multiple pea shooters doesn’t beat a single shot from a gun Thundercrash does need a buff
