It’s honestly dumb to “have the option just to have it”
Nobody who’s actually trying to complete difficult endgame uses matchmaking.
Tier 3 reckoning. I’ve tried the matchmaking.
It was a massive waste of time. In the time it took us to try, fail, try fail, and FINALLY succeed, for a BLUE, I could have completed it multiple times with a team.
And now it’s not just 4 players, but 6?
Hell no.
Having it just for principle is flat out dumb and not something worth complaining about, especially when Bungie provides a entire LFG for Xbox and PS4.

It’s not “having it for the sake of having it”. Since every other tier has it, the argument could be made that they put more effort into removing for heroic tier than it would’ve taken to just leave it in and let people take their chances with it.

It wouldn't take any extra work to implement this feature, and some players would actually use it. Not having it because of the elitist attitude some players have is stupid. There is zero argument for optional matchmaking other than not wanting others to have an option that you personally wouldn't use. Every single clear I have in tier 3 Reckoning was with random matchmaking. People do use the matchmaking features.

Just wanting to clarify I wasn’t trying to give a big middle finger to people, or even that I necessarily AGREE with matchmaking not being there, just the reason BUNGIE probably did it. If it wasn’t extra effort for wasted time then I wouldn’t really care but... dunno
