Step 1, make a weapon kind of OP
Step 2, watch them chase it
Step 3, wait until they get attached to it, nerf it and use the excuse it was OP
Step 4, watch them complain about it on the forum
Step 5, explain why even if it's the same reasons we have used a few times going on 5 years
Step 6, tell them we are listening to them as usual but ignore them for a long time so we don't have to deal with the backlash and they will adapt to it.
Step 7, repeat the process step 1 through 6. It works like a charm.
Or, the sandbox after going on ( 5 years ) can actually learn to buff certain weapons or create weapons that can compete. (It's ridiculous as developers to make weapons each season or anytime that are "OP" then use the excuse that they are "OP" to nerf them.) It's childish-period. Umm, hello Bungie! You are the ones that literally created these weapons so how the hell could you not know they are "OP" when it comes to your watered down mechanics?
Back in D1 days a scout rifle was good and was better than a pulse. Pinnacle weapons should only be good based off of what they are and not because it's the next biggest thing. Scouts beated pulses and handcannons could beat pulses but not scouts.
When you look at the exotics that were created in D2 Bungie catered to PvP big time that is actually selfish and they pulled this nonsense in D1 nerfing y1 and capped them at 170 so PvE gamers couldn't use them in The Taken King.
Here it is in D2 and instead of caping exotics, they create 10 hand cannons which we all know is mainly for PvP. How many Pulse rifles were created and how long did it take to get Outbreak prime? See, Outbreak prime quest was created in 4 months, the thing is, Outbreak doesn't belong in this game period. Bungie is winging this game and is using certain feedback trying to keep gamers around and not create things to actually improve the game. Why did it literally take an entire year for the sandbox to buff scouts rifles? when creating exotics what another category in this game of exotics are hurting when it comes to "balance"?
This company is literally winging this game right now that it is literally this company not know WTH they are doing.
