We all know the "REMOVE CORES FROM INFUSUON" rant has been going on, but I have seen virtually no alternative use for cores given. If they are removed from infusion, they would absolutely need an alternative use.
Some players have worked tremendously hard for their stash of cores, and it would be a shame if that went to nothing. Granted a lot of people exploited and Bungie would have to crack down on that, but still. Cores would need another use.
These are just some ideas. Feel free to comment any others and discuss!

1 回覆Should be used to purchase pinnacle weapons. 20 cores gets Luna. 50 cores Get N.F. Say 10 cores for recluse. And 15 for mountain top.

由Smough編輯: 5/16/2019 2:15:55 AMIt takes what, around 17 masterwork cores to masterwork weapon? And I don’t know how much it takes for armor, maybe around 5 or so? That’s a good enough use for cores, we don’t need more. “Oh but we get cores too quickly so only having one use wouldn’t be good enough since we’ll all have tons of cores!” Well the only reason we have so many now is because bungie keeps adding more ways to get cores, which is complete opposite of what they should be doing if they want infusing and masterworking to be impactful and meaningful. So bungie can simply remove or adjust those sources to make cores more rare.

8 回覆由Xenomorph編輯: 5/16/2019 1:14:46 AM
Some players have worked tremendously hard for their stash of cores
Yes... They did. At the expense of simply playing what they wanted, when they wanted... Unless they actually wanted to do boring Spider bounties, got lucky with drops to dismantle into cores or matterweave, or played "Space farming simulator 2019" with Vance. My entire point all along has been that Cores for infusion was only introduced with Forsaken. Before that, no-one asked for infusion to be more "meaningful". No-one said, "Hmmm, I really wish it was harder to infuse, it's too easy right now." It's a case of "If you build it, they will come". And by that, I mean that sure, Bungie introduced it, so now that's just the way it is, and some people are ok with that, so everyone else should be too. No. You're only justifying this unnecessary change because you blindly accepted it, and invested your time into an economy cooked up to inflate game time... And simply because you have that disposable time, you feel everyone else does too, and should simply think and feel like you too... That the only way you should be able to play this game is by investing inordanat amounts of time into it... Like you. No. If you want to have a player base large enough to sustain the longevity of the game financially, large enough to sustain matchmaking, large enough to sustain LFG, large enough to support future DLC and sequels, you need to cater to all types of people, not just those playing 4-5hrs+ every day. For reference, I've put in over 3,000hrs between D1 and D2. I was not "hardcore", but also was not "casual". I know I'm going to cop a lot of flak for this, as I usually do, but as this is what killed the game for me, I'm going say it. Masterworking should be reserved for Cores AND made more "meaningful". I've muted a lot of you, so if I don't respond, now you know why. But I'll say this. I'm never touching D2 again. It's ruined for me. Yes, I quit and am still lurking the forums... Because this game was my main (D1 and D2). It was where I built a community of friends. Where I have my best ever gaming memories. It's a shame. And maybe, I'm just here because I'm salty... Sure... I'll own up to that. But I also only come here when I'm bored... To exercise my right to comment on a public forum... Like everyone else here. So you don't need to like what I'm saying, or agree with it. You didn't even have to read this, but you did. Yes, my opinion may be different to yours, but I'm not attacking anyone who feels differently, because whatever makes you happy isn't my concern... You do you. This is just my personal opinion. Don't let it trigger you. EDIT: I've been attacked mercilessly in the past when I tried to be constructive and civil. Every time I try to have a balanced discussion I've been shit on from a great height. That's why I said what I did. Why should I be the one to constantly be all "gently gently" for the elitists? This bullshit about "I'm attacking people" is preposterous... This is my response to the elitists among us. If you're not one of them then this isn't aimed at you.

Re roll the perks on armor, upgrade the perks on armor to the enhanced variation, change the elemental resistance, unlock a second mod slot, unlock a chroma slot. There has been plenty of ideas. On a side note I think re rolling weapon perks is too much

55 回覆
but I have seen virtually no alternative use for cores given
Wait, WHAT? Have people already forgotten that Cores had a distinct purpose prior to Forsaken? TO MASTERWORK WEAPONS. You know, to actually make meaningful and personal decisions to kick one's favorite weapons up a notch? You want to give Cores more "meaningful" purpose in this game, like enhancing armor perks or re-rolling? HELL YEAH, let's do it. But let's not pretend Masterwork Cores weren't co-opted to pad out game grind and give no-lifers a stiffy by sticking them into Infusion where they do not belong.
Some players have worked tremendously hard for their stash of cores, and it would be a shame if that went to nothing.
Really now? Are these the same players who tell everyone else that "Cores are easy to get and to stop whining"? Which is it, man? Did you "work so hard to git yer cores" or are they "piss easy to get and the casuals should stop -blam!-"? Lord, I hate elitism. I'll say it again for the cheap seats: CORES ARE EASY TO GET. They are, however, BORING AS SIN to grind for. Might be why you just equated it to "hard work". It isn't, and anyone who feels that was should get over themselves. Those players were just willing to waste a pantload more time playing Bungie's mindless grinding cycle. The rest of us, those who've been championing their removal from the cost of Infusion only, recognize a waste of time and a game padding bore when we see it, know that Infusion worked way better before Forsaken, and have been asking for this tedious chore to be removed from the game. Also, everyone who exploited the glitch blew past all the yields from that "hard work" in an hour flat. My only regret is that I wasn't one of them.

由Harumi編輯: 5/15/2019 12:15:21 PMDunno about the first Destiny game, but I've tracked those cores' "life path" from the first season of Destiny 2 till now, and, as a player who neither belongs to grinders nor to casuals or anything else like that (seriously, don't actually know the difference, if any, and all those tags sound like blahblah to me), I can say that they don't need to be removed at all. They're fine. You don't have to stack loads of them unless your aim is to upgrade every equipment piece you have (if more than 20) to a max.level masterwork, which is rather a personal issue than a game option. They work as a mean to improve your favourite equip a bit (or more than a bit), even if it's a Season of Osiris's few-bonus rifle (which are still really good even now). And don't forget that they increase main stats for earlier seasons' armor and give extra elemenal resistance for later seasons' armor.
