I already know the Comp purists will not like this idea but...
There are plenty of people that would like to work for the Pinnacle weapons but may not like the Comp playlist for various reasons.
IB is a once a month 'pseudo-comp/Endgame' activity for the 'less-than-comp' players. Especially now with Light Advantaged turned on.
It's the 'Pinnacle' event for the non-comp playlist.
I think it could be fair to have IB progression, kills, etc count as 'Comp' accomplishments for that week.
You could even have specific "Iron Glory" for that week too.
People would still have to work for the kills and progression so it's not a giveaway and would likely still take longer for these people because it's only once a month. Maybe it could even encourage people to continue their grind in the actual Comp playlist after IB is over. Helping the player pool there.
I get that it's a bit controversial but I think it could be a big boon for people who don't like the normal Comp playlist.

3 回覆If they do that, then they need to take out the lockout mechanic. You can't have a competitive playlist where 1 in 4 matches gets mercied.

8 回覆The quest for Luna - should tie into the bounty and NOT the season. Tired of having progress reset after each season. The 2100 should be tied directly to the bounty so it gives people time to earn stuff. I got to nearly 1100 but couldn’t finish. I’m finding trouble to get motivated to get past 1000 now. I’m all for different guns and different paths to get stuff also. Makes different activities viable and also totally up for stuff dropping different rewards. 100k nightfall’s should grant 5+ cores and other activities should offer different gear. Even the gun smith should offer challenges to unlock scopes, shaders and weapons.

3 回覆由Orpheus49編輯: 1/11/2019 7:05:06 AM*Starts the topic with an insult to competitive players* So why does anyone have to listen to this? Anyways, it's a meh idea. I'd rather a grind even not count toward competitive rewards and quests, but i see where it could work in practice

5 回覆由Cry2God4Revenge編輯: 1/10/2019 7:43:36 PMIB wouldn't be considered competitive because 6v6 is chaotic Mercy rule Control and clash work differently in comp Light levels advantages. 20s are supposed to get Luna as well. HUD is different (supers) and stuff like respawn timers/spawn locations More bad players will be Luna because of stacks pubstomping, heavy and super spam, mercy rules The first 2 IBs in forsaken were hated because of this, and the one we've had in BA so far as well Plus in is it own thing. The hardest step for mountaintop can be achieved outside of comp

3 回覆
I think it could be fair to have IB progression, kills, etc count as 'Comp' accomplishments for that week. Like why have a specific glory, and instead just have IB and glory for comp level up simultaneously while in IB? I think that would probably be way easier to incorporate than a special glory for a specific playlist. This is really gonna blow people's minds, but stay with me here. Why not add what you mentioned in, and make IB a permanent mode, replace it with comp, and remove comp?

1 回覆That is an interesting idea. I’ll have to think a bit to see if there are points I need to look at and bring up for discussion, but this is definitely an idea I could see myself potentially getting behind.

5 回覆Then players would simply wait around for ib, instead of grinding out comp, as the past players had to. I dont think it would be fair to those , imo

4 回覆Anything is better than the current system. Once you get up in the ranks the games are just boring. The play speed slows down, all the meta weapons need to be used....it just sucked.

3 回覆An interesting idea... I think it may favor the player who has a team... but wound be worth a try.
