The recent Exotic drop buff is a joke. Feels like nothing was even changed.. It’s not noticeable that’s for sure...
After the update, took 30+ hours to finally get an exotic drop (other than cosmetics), and it was another duplicate. Non existent new exotics is why this game is failing imo.. They need to increase drop odds and have no duplicates drop if they want to save this game. Maybe give Xur the Forsaken exotics when the new DLC is released?
Also, no need to comment how you got 5 in two hours. You’re just insanely lucky and in the minority. Most people are playing for 20+ hours and only getting duplicates still. That’s a problem.
Finally, over a week later and idk how many hours, I got another new exotic. Not what I hoped for but im happy with it. Two tail fox rewarded after an Iron Banner match. Does it feel more special because of the wait? Not really.
Today, just got Shards of Galanor from the weekly Gambit bounty. That’s two new exotics in two days. This Hunter Exotic was the only one I wanted too! It only took two months and a lot of playing. I could care less if I get anymore exotics now. No more praying to RNGesus for me. Thanks and have a good day.

2 回覆LMAO yesterday in gambit i received an exotic drop in the middle of the match! a powerful one! which i hadn't yet!! and it is a forsaken exo!!! could it be that this is a free gift from bungie? it is pathetic! But it's ok XD

1 回覆Most likely because they contract out development now. Plus with their overlords of Activision and now some Chinese game piblisher. They are way over their head with keeping anything going smoothly with out a ton of back and forth. As in meetings, bunch of emails and phone calls. Then they are so very tied to PvP that any new exotics or perks have to be dumbed down. So "balance" can be made between PvE and PvP. In an attempt to keep PvP players from ripping up a storm how in fair an exotic is.

5 回覆Not gonna lie : I, personally, saw a huge difference since last update and got 5 year 2 exotics within a week. But with Bungie there have been so many lies and manipulations that i don’t even know if something really changed or if i just got lucky. Plus, these “changes” came way too late anyway.

Since the update i've had 2 Helm of St 14's , Jade Rabbit & the only none dupe i've had is the Black Talon . Loot system is garbage if the exotic drop rate is going to be so low then duplication protection same as the Fated Engram should be in there until all are acquired & if no dupe protection the drop rate should be more frequent screw grinding for hours just to be insta-dismantling dupes .

One was a new Y1 exotic, and the second was a duplicate of The Prospector... another Y1. And for context, in all of Forsaken I've only gotten three Y2 exotics. One of which is Lord of Wolves from Spider bounties. So really, that's only two world drops. Plus I only started this game when Forsaken came out so my pool of exotics found so far is tiny. So when the patch notes say "Exotics that the player does not yet own are individually weighted much higher than duplicate Exotics"... yeah I find that extremely hard to believe. Edit: Not to mention I've been playing more hours of this than I care to admit.

27 回覆I got 5 exotics in 1 day. Not lying. Did my milestones on 3 different characters. Did the 100K nightfall, shattered throne and raid. My 5 exotics were geomags, 2 tailed fox, phoenix protocol, Chromatic fire, and Shards of Galanor. Perhaps if more people actually did activities that had a higher chance of exotics?

4 回覆They didn't buff the drop rate, they only tweaked the chances that when Exotics DO drop they'll be something different. Considering I got 3 new Y2 Exotics back-to-back in one evening, I don't see the problem. (Also, may just be weird timing/luck, but Exotic drops seem to be tied to time spent playing - if I play every night for a week, I MIGHT get 1 Exotic that entire week; if I take a week off and jump back in on a Saturday evening, I'm almost guaranteed to get 3-5 Exotics in a couple of hours. I think they've sneakily added a system that assumes people who play several hours every day WANT the grind, and adjusted their drop rates, while rewarding less-intense players by bumping their odds.) Also also wik, all through D2Y1 these forums were full of players complaining that overly-abundant Exotics were ruining Destiny, and now they're full of players complaining that under-abundant Exotics are ruining Destiny...yet the game and the players are still here.

3 回覆People fail to realize or comprehend what bungie writes. They never said you wouldn't continue to get duplicates, they said youd have aa better chance at not getting duplicates. A 1% increase to your chance of not getting duplicates is still an increase.

8 回覆I got chromatic fire yesterday 🤞🏾. I would have rather had Phoenix protocol but whatevs It’ll pair nicely with my AoS and Malfeasance. There are some other kinetics is like to try out too

3 回覆Well everyone getting exotics that's great,but let me say 3 maxed characters,multiple lw raid completions,and every thing you can possibly do every week and still nothing. The system is ridiculous and broken. There is no reason for me to put any more time in this game for the same crap over and over.

7 回覆Since the update I’ve gotten wavesplitter oem sixth coyote and ursa furiosa. Without any Year 1 exotics in between each one. You just have to keep grinding (destiny itself is a grinding game)

The drop rate wasn't buffed. Also, the duplicate protect wasn't buffed either. Bungie took the drop rate from 3 to 11 and instead of scaling it back to about a 7 is letting the unlucky player base suffer. Of course this would of never been an issue if they had just allowed Xur to sell new exotics. That's the real kick in the craw.

Considering the exotic loot pool is diluted with not just old exotics but rerolls of old exotics you would think the drop rate would be a little more frequent. It’s an emotional rollercoaster to finally see an exotic drop for an Actium War Rig that you already have to get perks that have nothing to do with auto rifles (and so on).
