Less for the fact that we miss every now and then, but for the fact that if your shotgunning or fusion rifling, the distance from you to the special is a few steps. But if you sniping and run out, usually you get killed on you way there, or someone else on your team gets the ammo before you can.
It just slows the pacing when you have to walk around looking for special.
maybe even if the special didn't even drop, it just loaded into whoever got the kill, so if your an extremely talented and skilful titan that shotguns people with incredible precision, or a sniper, you can keep a streak going without pause.

Agreed, plus with shotguns if you go on a kill spree you have that constant supply of special ammo, try that with a sniper and you can pop off 2 good shots then have to dip and look for more ammo

That's exactly why. Picture being on a small map,like burnout, with only a few angles to hold and a team with very talented snipers. If it auto loaded into your inventory and you and your team just chilled outside. There would be no easy counter to that.

If they would make the weapon work properly: rangefind; breathing; barrel sway (which we had in year 1 of D1); bullet drop; hit chance reduction for movement (100%), standing (50%), crouching (skillbased); and if you fired a 6 foot long, .50cal rifle, that puts out about 600-700 joules of energy while jumping, you would triple backflip into the ground... taking an instant death. Then I'm all for realistic sniper clips... which is 5 rounds.

What needs to happen is snipers automatically pick up ammo on headshot kills, this promotes skill and lets players not have to rush for the special ammo. Shotguns are on every corner, I feel your pain in running out of ammo and then getting wrecked

Can we just give all snipers unlimited regenerating ammo to? and also give them 20 round mags and magic headseeking bullets. Also every time you ADS they should give you cloaking, an over shield, and a greatly enhanced 100meter radar that shows you exact enemy positions instead of this motion detector bullshit so nobody can sneak up on me while im spawn camping in gambit.
