So I am actually a believer that raw matchmaking should not be added to Destiny raiding, however, I think there should be a better in game avenue than guided games (It was a decent idea, it's just not working). I actually think your current system that is in beta on the website here is the right direction for something to put into the game and I think Overwatch's new LFG system can be a decent inspiration. In the director just have an LFG button and let people host the activities they are wanting to do and let people join up. The hosts can put in information like "for fun" "competitive" "for high score" etc. And also allow the host to specify a minimum time dedication when a player joins.
I also think a system similar to overwatch that allows a players quality to go up with recommendations would be a good thing as positive encouragement for this system to be a good team player and live up to your commitments.

1 回覆All for in-game LFG, The PC player base is scattered across many LFG avenues, it would benefit greatly from in-game LFG to reunite the playerbase.👍
-
2 回覆every group-based activity should have opt-in/out matchmaking and the facility in-game for players seeking a fireteam, to see ones available or create and advertise their own - a fireteam board for example at the Tower. The fact thats its still not there for nightfalls, raids etc, is nonsense in a game thats so much about team play.
-
We absolutely need matchmaking in game, for Nightfall and Raids. Going to an external site or app is ridiculous in a AAA title. This should just be a standard feature. For those of you against matchmaking..... DON'T USE IT! Duh. Matchmaking should always be optional. There's a lot of players that don't do the raid or nightfall because of the lack of matchmaking. Players are missing out on content because of a lack of options. That's pretty shit. Just put it in already and stop being stubborn.

1 回覆I've got no idea how difficult it would be but they should just implement the exact same thing they have on the app. Be in orbit, set your requirements, auto invite to group. I use the app a lot. For raids and nightfall mostly. It's really good, easy to use.

5 回覆Every activity should have optional match making. For the sole purpose of showing ppl how terrible in game match making would be. The option should still be there.

There is a serious fundamental flaw when, in order to play the game, you have to divert your attention away from the game! Then sit idly for 10-15 minutes staring at the screen waiting for 5 other players to join, and stay.

21 回覆The thing is Bungie only care about big streamers opinions . When a lot of people were complaining about the game here and in DTG subreddit Bungie didn’t move a finger, but when streamers quit there was a messages, tweets and even a summit. Streamers aren’t affected by the LFG issues so Bungie doesn’t care about it either. Vote with your wallet and don’t buy any other expansions till they get their shit together. It is not okay when the best activity the game has to offer is not accessible to 85% of the people who bought it.

4 回覆Destiny in a nutshell: The most team advertised game on the damn market that also has basically no way whatsoever in game to connect people into stable groups and teams. It's just asinine. ffs Neverwinter even has ways to connect people in the game via cues and that can prompt party invites and stuff. You can request healers or DPS or tanks or whatever you need for the group. I just don't get why Bungie refuses to at least try and add a concrete, non-random, player choice matchmaking system where you just put up your fireteam, say characters and LL you want for the group, and then have a screening routine that pops up all the 'applicants' for the team. If you accept them in, they join the fireteam, and then you can invite to the party. That would be my answer, more or less. A lot better than Guided Games at least.

由chadesh編輯: 8/6/2018 4:44:22 PMwith the exception of pc players most people that play D2 either don't know this forums or other forums exist or they don't have a computer to even look. On xbox I've talked to people and told them to go to the forums or do a search for the answer on google, but most said they didn't have a pc. the people that post on these and other forums are a minority of D2 players. The app isn't advertised on the main bungie.net site. If people don't know it exist then they can't download it. Having more options for playing the game are always welcome. why anyone would be resistant to that is beyond silly.

1 回覆由Tk編輯: 8/6/2018 4:49:12 PMYeah a fireteam maker tab would be more convenient. Although I wouldn't mind 380+ matchmaking activities like ep with 6 players.

4 回覆I think raw matchmaking should be added to normal Raids and Lairs, simply because if 6 people go in and 2 or 3 bond, go back in together and find 1 or 2 more, etc, eventually a good Raid team could be made. Clans could be formed, you know. End game friendship?
-
If they simply made it optional. You can turn it on or off in your menu then it fixes everything. People who don't like it don't use it. I do think you'd need to be the minimum recommended level and have a mic for match making on things like raids and nightfall. Would be willing to bet they'd see more than a 50% increase in endgame activity if they added that and so many people would be thrilled just to try the raid even if they don't beat it.

It’s crazy they don’t have this. It’d make things easier to find games for sure if I didn’t have to go back and forth from LFG and D2. I get the reason for no blind matchmaking in Raids I guess but none in NF makes no sense And then the way they clear the fireteams after strikes and crucible makes no sense either. These seem kind easy ways to help people find friends thru Destiny to join up with. Especially for people like me who get time at random times to play.

5 回覆由ken31cayman編輯: 8/6/2018 12:46:25 PMI feel so sorry for PS4 players when it comes to matchmaking, having played 2.5 years of D1 on PS4. Xbox lfg is a godsend for matchmaking for every game you own on the console. Just a handful of clicks to select a game/activity you want to join and then accept the invite once invited. I hated using lfg websites when I was on PS4, now I personally have no reason to use them anymore thank God. Question: does bnet lfg work the same/similar to xbox lfg? I mean is it integrated to the game or is it separate? I ask because I've never used it.

For a solo player, guided games suck because they take waaaay to long to find a match. However, if you are in a fireteam and just need 1, guided games work pretty well. They still need to find a way to improve the system though.
