The only hole I'd pick is that the Phalanx Unit tactics originated with Greek Hoplites. Then again the Romans pilfered so much from Greece...

It wasn't pilfering, it was conquest. Rome conquered Greece militarily; Greece conquered Rome culturally. By the time of Christ, Rome's principal language was Greek, its primary religion was worship of the Greek pantheon (under new names), and many other things were absorbed as well.

Hmmm... so if the conquerers force the defeated to adopt their culture, they're doing forced assimilation. And if they adopt the culture of the people they conquer, they're stealing it. No way for the imperialist pricks to win, is there?

由Bieltan編輯: 7/26/2018 3:26:47 PMGreek Phalanxes fought the Persian Empire multiple times, which was before the time of the Roman Empire or even the Republic. They lost every battle until the Persians set foot in Greece, whereupon the Persians were brought to resounding defeat at every engagement bar Thermopylae.
