I should be able to go in on patrol and do events, archon forge type mode, etc. Such a waste.

It should be like a greater rift set up in Diablo. I would have thought it was why it was proc-gen in the first place. Though it may have been a test for proc-gen in the future. During the cycle so far, other than HM raids they haven't gone back to change old content. Which is too bad. It also means that Io will remain an empty space.

4 回覆Osiris and Sagira have all of reality to explore and all the time in the would. We have... strikes that recreate story missions, and a few adventures. That sucks.

28 回覆由Havok編輯: 7/2/2018 4:10:26 AMI think the infinite forest should be used as an excuse to bring back D1 strikes. It does simulations right? And Osiris controls part of it? Let him run simulations for us for training and ‘data’ by going over old D1 strikes. It could even be the Vex running those simulations to learn data and we go in to shut the simulation down. I’d play the hell out of it. The D1 strikes were so much more fun.

3 回覆Would've been ideal to have a randomised dungeon with unique rewards, call it "the infinite path" that increases in difficulty the more rooms you go through.
-
3 回覆So when you first enter the Portal, the first thing you see is a clearly set up area where a Vendor should be... Why isn't Osiris there? Give Forest Bounties. And they can even have there own Patrols. The patrols can be Kills and HVT. But with this area you have to kill 2-3 HVTs. Next, Have a new event. Trial of St.14. It's pretty much a Archon Forge but Vex themed. Have exclusive gear and everything.

2 回覆I prefer to call it the "Infinitely boring forest", the place people just run through during strikes. So much wasted potential. When it was announced I actually hoped it will be like the Underground in The Division where it is actual levels for unique strikes. This is why I am worried about the next expansion, since one of the game mode mechanics in the reef was inspired by the infinite forest (according to the person they interviewed). There is nothing inspiring about it...

4 回覆由NotaWarCultSpy編輯: 7/3/2018 7:55:48 AMHow's this - The Infinite Gauntlet. You, and your fireteam, have 10 minutes to clear as many platforms in the Infinite Forest as you can. Eliminating enemies extends the timer. Each platform is locked by a Daemon. Enemies become procedurally harder to kill the more platforms you clear. Rewards are based off of total platform clears. More platforms = Better Rewards. Rewards could include Osiris themed weapons and armour, a Vex themed exotic, exotic catalysts and, of course, assorted emblems and shaders.

4 回覆I'd love to see it developed. There's any number of future stories they could build it into. For example, imagine if you had to go and train there to fight a major enemy. Osiris simulates versions of that enemy for you and then if you succeed he gives you a cool Vex weapon he found for fighting said enemy. *cough* mythoclast *cough*

Honestly this is something of a sore spot for me. I love the design of the "infinite" Forrest and how even if you wipe the entrance and lay out changes but that is it. This was a huge miss. Why not randomly generated arenas for different game types. Simulated encounters from D1 so that newer guardians get a taste for some of the cools strikes we tend to bring up in conversation. So many things they could have done but just wasted it. As a whole curse of Osiris was a huge let down but that is a whole other can of worms.

7 回覆When I first heard about it, I immediately thought it would be procedurally generated content that would fix the longstanding issue with PvE content drying up between releases. I guess it goes back to generally being disappointed in a lot of things about D2, but to say the least, I'm not impressed by it currently.

Be as that may, I doubt we will ever see them go back and change it , Bungie has repeatedly shown an unwillingness to correct mistakes unless their bottom line starts to suffer, and even then they will make you wait for them a year , conveniently when they need to sell you another expansion...

由santospizarro編輯: 7/3/2018 4:04:24 AMthose would be good, but i have problems with repetitivbe content and the rewards proccess that comes with farming and unravelling new engrams, repeats and things like that. So what i personally recommend are new types of enemies that appear with the weather and day changes, the amount of players present, ambushes and public events but presented in a new or refreshing way, i would even go as far as changing the Huds and menus to better fit the game areas. hidding the maps and radars on entering, automatically features and powerups, unlockables, and secrets to find. the PVE should matter, i think that defeating enemies should reflect some portional enmity that the player carries with them to make you more prone to attacks, and treasure as a standa in any RPG game realistically, weathers and terrains should allow for players to hide behind rocks, and trees to be less wrekless or lose aggro, and monsters shoulnt be dumb and stupid to be sneaked behind, especially at level 30....thats just dumb. Level 30 players should be challenged in PVE solo to train their intelligence the new enemies should be smarter and see through disguises, invisibility, and tactics that many players will throw at them, lasers, and donuts might be that good yogi bear thing happening after here, but it smells good so ithink abite of this woulnt get me in trouble, but yeah if that doesnt work out the monsters should work tighter and stronger, if theres higher level players or groups, then there should be an equivalent band of vandals to compete and give appropriate rewards to stop players from quickly spamming power levels. And each game area or planet should already include bigger things than public events and daycycles, the last thing i want to say: most don't have a good deal of changies to make the player arriving feel brefulwinds and breezes, tangles to slow players movements on grass or trees, restrictions, or special effects that matter, not just to look good, but that are effectively living weather changes, take MARS for instance, it always has the same types of enemies, and it never rains, or snows, its advertised as an area with alot of snow and ice, maybe if there was big hairy dudes and elves i'd believe it, but for real at least some seasonal changes to the orbit and planets to make these areas look and feel different to keep RNG and farming feeling brand new. If it was a rainy day, maybe some green aliens would show up disrupting, they would be new creatures, they could be frogs, or amphibians from another planet or burrow in earth, sea gods, particularly monsters just like how every movie and RPG has different creatures in each area, Destiny's problem is reusing the same monsters, not having enough weather or important changes. Otherwise it would be the only game to play ever, thats why real life is better crafted. Randomness and changes/chances are higher than an RPG like destiny at its early stages with no reasonable randomizations or effective terrains, the areas are still restricted, blocked off, and the rewards aren't always favorable. resources also lack variety or reason, why have items that are practically have the same functions, are time consuming distractions with less power/ratio, i would turn those crags into demons or useful monsters instead of harvestables that are barely worth anything. Also i think treasure chest are dumb and misplaced in alot of areas the game rewards are trashy, bad presentation.

1 回覆You can make so many what if scenarios with this place. Such a waste that it just sits there
