Again not an argument. An argument is a line of reasoning whose goal is to try to persuade someone else. I don't give a rat's ass whether this snowflake agrees with me or not. I'm just telling him that I'm not interested in having his "You" problem being turned into MY problem down the road when I start raiding again. Being forced to play through a raid in one continuous sitting is ridiculous and will drive what is already a low participation part of the game....even lower. But then that is PRECISELY what the OP wants. Because it makes him special....but to the detriment of the game, and the community as a whole.
-
You provided a reasoning why you disagree... I think that reasoning is weak. One can present an argument, without there being an argument. Again, I've read enough of your posts to know you're smart enough to recognize that distinction. Since you're in a particularly pedantic mood, i'll rescind the word argument and instead shift to reasoning.
-
So in what world could NO, as a response NOT be considered disagreement? The NO is you disagreeing, everything after that is WHY you disagree... This is simple context in language. Feel free to continue to not argue with me about it though =)
-
由kellygreen45編輯: 4/18/2018 6:30:41 PMI'm not attempting to persuade. So it is not an argument. It is a declaration. If you the OP likes it? Fine. If he doesn't...he can go screw himself. Just that simple. To say that it is an argument is to suggest that this is a debate. It isn't.
-
Wow...you really are in a mood today. It's like you haven't even read my replies...I even stated I happen to agree with you on it not being an ideal implementation...but your reasoning why you disagree is what makes it an argument. Notice how reasoning/explanation/justification/rationalization are all synonyms for an argument. You stated how you disagree, and then explained why. If you had no aim other than to scream at the sky randomly - you wouldn't have posted. You wanted the OP to know that you disagreed and why. You also wish others to see your post and potentially comment. Such is the point of a forum. This isn't your livejournal lol. If you wish to get super pedantic and argue how you never argued (hilarious) we can do that too. Or, you can just accept that I find your reasoning for why you don't like his suggestion to be weak and then talk about that (which was the initial point btw). ---- For example, do you think all story missions and strikes should have set checkpoints in which you could reload at any time whether disconnecting from the APP or not? Do you feel all activities within the game should allow for a pause option? Wouldn't those be necessary to fulfill said "Some of us have lives and responsibilities away from the console." ?? In general, you're playing videogames because you don't have something else to do. I've always found the "I have more important/better things to do" position to be a bit flawed when discussing videogames personally.

由kellygreen45編輯: 4/18/2018 7:08:18 PMI'm in a "mood" because the kind of naked, shameless selfishness that the OP is displaying pisses me off. OTOH, it is YOU who are not listening to me. http://www.dictionary.com/browse/argument "...an address or composition intended to convince or persuade; persuasive discourse." I said from the beginning, what I said is not an "argument" because there is NO intention on my part to convince or persuade the OP, and I don't give two flying -blam!-s if he thinks I'm "right" or not. What I'm doing is called setting a BOUNDARY: "NO...you are not going to make life playing this game difficult for the rest of us, just because you want to drive down participation so that you can be at the top of some imaginary leaderboard." No discussion. No debate...and I couldn't care less if he **agrees** or not.
-
I don't care what he THINKS. I care what he DOES. That's what boundary/limit-setting is about. Its about dealing with someone else's unacceptable behavior. ..and I'm not "weaseling" around anything. I stated clearly what I'm doing. You just refuse to listen. But its a free country, and that's your choice. However, there will be no further "rationale" forthcoming. As I said, "NO, is a complete sentence."
-
lol, he can't do anything, he's discussing an idea...it's a discussion forum... You are disagreeing with the OP and providing the rationale. Would you like to talk about said rationale, or just continue to claim you're just yelling at the sky for no reason?
-
由kellygreen45編輯: 4/18/2018 7:44:35 PMWhat he's doing is calling for something utterly selfish that would directly harm the game, and do nothing of value for anyone else. THAT is what I'm saying "No" to. That is what I'm setting a limit against. ..and I'm getting tired of repeating myself. This is the only answer you're going to get. Because that is THE answer, whether you accept it or not.
What he's doing is calling for something utterly selfish that would directly harm the game, and do nothing of value to anyone else.
I agree. It's the WHY that I disagreed with. I've already accepted that you disagree...not sure how any of my posts imply otherwise... Again, I challenge your rationale of "some of us have lives..." Such is a flawed and faulty explanation/rationale/reasoning/justification for your stance in my opinion. This is the point where you state why you disagree, or just keep rambling about how you just wanted to declare something without opportunity for response because you don't care what anyone else thinks on a public forum =)

Agreed Healing! This is why I carefully think about request for changes like this if they are for the betterment of the game/community or just for this one person who wants things changed to their liking minus improving the game. Sometimes things happen and people have to leave the raid and come back to it later at certain checkpoints. Sometimes, you can't complete the raid in one swoop 100% of the time. Leave the checkpoints as is Bungie as there is no real quality of life reason to remove them. Thanks. -
1. I don't take orders from randoms on the internet. 2. I "don't raid" because I don't LIKE the current raids....I already have all the things I want from the raids (thank you Clan reward system)....and (as you are demonstrating) the people that I ENJOY raiding with are no longer playing the game. Bottomline is that its a bullshit move to try to force everyone else in the game to have to play through raids in a single sitting, just because you want to be a special snowflake. That's a "You" problem.
-
2. I "don't raid" because I don't LIKE the current raids.
More like you are a scrub who can't complete the raids. Yeah, I saw some of those red dot 4 hour attempts at normal runs... LOL! If you don't raid then you don't have a dog in the fight and should have no opinion on the matter!

由kellygreen45編輯: 4/18/2018 3:58:06 PMI have Challenge mode eblems for all 4 raids, complete sets of elemental primaries, ....and complete sets of raid armor ornaments for two of the raids from Age of Triumph. Now, keep running your mouth. I'm curious to see how far into it you can stick your foot, Snowflake.
I have Challenge mode banners for all 4 raids....and complete sets of raid armor ornaments for two of the raids from Age of Triumph. /quote] I'm not talking about D1 Since you don't like the raids and don't do them in D2 what difference does it make to you? No need to answer, I don't really care about the opinion of someone who doesn't even raid
