Could a nightstalker boost that damage even more? Or is gunslinger not impacted by that?

I am not 100% sure, but as far as I know the Tether should work and increase damage further. However, it would probably be better to use a Sunbreaker Titan instead. The Sunbreaker Titan has a charge attack which also weakens enemies. As far as I am aware that weakening effect is stronger than the Tether. If it's the same values as in Destiny 1, Tether weakens enemies and thus increases damage by 30%, while the Sunbreaker Charge increases damage by 50%. These effects also replace each other, so if you first Sunbreaker Charge an enemy, and then tether them, damage will only be increased by 30%.

Everything works the same outside the platforms, the only thing that the plates do is to provide the Force of Will buff which increases your damage by a huge amount. No idea if the weakening actually would replace a million damage. Probably not. But it would be helpful to increase the damage of the single shot, to find out the maximum damage in a single shot possible.
