ALWAYS MULTITASK! Prioritize farming chests. Try to get a ghost with a chest finding perk and/ or a faction token chance increasing perk. The faction token's actually include the tokens from each moon/ edz. If you don't have the chest finding perk purchase the scout reports from Cayde. Learn the lay of the land and where the chests will spawn, this will allow you to create runs or loops. When farming chests use a sparrow. It increases your range of chest detection and gets you to chests faster. You can even use a sniper rifle to check longer distances (this will give you the largest increase to your automatic chest finding radar). As soon as you see a high priority target come into the game world. Murder it. Some locations on certain moons/ edz will have pseudo-"High priority target"s spawn in fairly frequently but these will not show up as text on screen. Instead you will just have to know when/ where to look for them. They usually spawn with a specific group of enemies. Large group of Shanks, thralls ect. When your chests stop giving you tokens swap to another character, or do an easy patrol mission and maybe a public event. Try to multitask as much as possible. Pick up a patrol mission before you start farming chests or start doing a public event. Chances are you will probably be able to do both at the same time thus increasing your efficiency. Psychology: Try not to turn in your tokens until the end of the entire day. It may be tempting once you get enough to rank up once, but it will feel much slower if you keep turning in your tokens every time you get the required amount. And its also technically less efficient. When doing a public event try and join as late as possible, thus increasing your efficiency. Public events have pretty terrible time/ token ratio. If you are farming with a friend/ friends you should be prioritizing patrols as they can be completed 2-3x as fast with a fireteam. Each person increases the speed of completion by 2x. When you have done all of the kill or pick-up patrols spawn into another location and do the patrols in that area.
