Unexpectedly Low FPS.

First and foremost, year 1 guardian here that's making the change from PS4 to PC. Bought a new machine for it back in June. i7-7700k, 16gb 3000mhz Ram, Asus Strix 1080ti Oc, etc etc. 1440p monitor at 144hz. As everyone knows, its basically the top current configuration for gaming (unless you include the new x399 and x299 platforms from AMD and Intel). Now, I just thought that Destiny 2 would be like all other games I played so far. Just crank things up to highest, leave resolution at 1440p and enjoy well above 100fps consistently. It does this in battlefield 1, witcher, etc. But, at least with the beta, thats not the case. One would argue its because the game looks "so awesome" but... cranking up field of view to max, turning off VSync (because I have G-Sync), Motion Blur, Chromatic Aberration and Film Grain, put settings on "Highest" and hold and behold, in PVP matches I barely get above 60fps. To have above 100fps, I have to drop the settings to "High" and even so its not consistent. I can also drop the FOV but, even at default, the best I get with Highest settings is around 110 to 120. People will say I want too much but really, the game at highest looks awesome but isn't really a "visual masterpiece" in a PVP match (though in PVE things are much richer) so by default its weird that when put in the most powerful GPU in the market and at 1440p (not 4K), it barely goes above 60fps. I'm just putting it here because I dunno if someone else is experiencing the same or if its expected (if it is, can someone from bungie confirm this?). Its the beta so all stuff like this should be reported and given as feedback to Bungie. I get the feeling that there might still need to be some optimization work on the game engine to make the most out of the hardware but it seems a bit too much. While 60fps is well above "playable", a configuration like mine should be enough to do 1440p at highest above 100fps, without turning off stuff. I'll need to do more testing with different configurations and setting but its a bit underwhelming for now in terms of the game engine's ability to use the resources of the system "wisely". PS- FPS are being measured and given by the ingame FPS counter tool, not a 3rd party aplication. All drivers are up to date. Nothing was running in the background except TeamSpeak and the Blizzard Battle.net app. I haven't checked during the strike or any PVE part but I will.
