Lord Shaxx screaming "Fight forever guardian!":
https://gameclipscontent-d3008.xboxlive.com/0009000007292f9b-9ef5b0e4-e3bf-4eb5-98f9-6da818881193/GameClip-Original.MP4?sv=2015-12-11&sr=b&si=DefaultAccess&sig=e%2B6UrlOl7bsePscF8yqW6KySkomfo6TUEBk8hxn9rb4%3D&__gda__=1500168152_84db42b04045f2d7c87d25d6220a448c
I just want to say this now, but I absolutely love the commentary Lord Shaxx's character provides during Crucible matches. Lennie James did a pretty fantastic job providing character to someone who could have easily ended up being very flat and boring.
His commentary is pretty on the low over all and isn't usually that obvious. For someone like myself who is pretty 'floofy' in Crucible matches, I'm not paying too much attention to things to let his voice over distract me. Well technically it distracts me because I hear it and tune in to it, but it isn't distracting me from something serious.

To get straight to the point, I hope that at some point down the line users will be given the option to disable Crucible commentary so that Lord Shaxx's dialogue doesn't have a chance to pose a distraction to those who are more serious with their Crucible play.
With the route being taken for Destiny 2 that is erring on the side of competitive and team-focused game play, giving the players the option to disable voice-over that may or may not pose a distraction could only be seen as a benefit. His voice-over doesn't include vital information, it is mostly a read out of medals earned and kill streaks, all non-vital information.
I would even go farther and stand to believe that removing the medal fanfare is also a fair step in the right direction. Unnecessary, but it wouldn't hurt. Again, purely a player choice not a global change.

TL;DR : Reread the above post.
I just want to reiterate that this would preferably be an option within the audio menu, and wouldn't be disabled by default. It is just like having the helmet on, helmet off function. Purely preference.
I included a link to the IGN news page that features all of the official video footage for their month long reveal. Plenty of Crucible footage that showcases dialogue from Lord Shaxx.
Why are people saying no to more options? That doesn't even make sense. It's an option. It's there if you want and there if you don't.

由GHOSTFACE編輯: 7/17/2017 3:55:22 PM"FIGHT BACK, CONTROL THE ZONES" - Shaxx 😂😂😂 I love his commentary. Without him and Cayde-6 destiny on the whole would be kinda bland. I kinda dislike the fact that he isn't shouting at the top of his lungs in D2. He seems bored in D2 crucible commentary.

With a disable option hardcore players will be able to here where the enemies are better and what weapons they have etc...

You guys ever see the video with shaxx's voice in Japanese. That was an amazing video.

Man people take Shaxx too seriously. I know someone that curses him out, loudly I might add, every time Shaxx talks. I have to mute them every single time, or I'll miss some of Shaxx' classic lines.

But if you mute Shaxx, you'll miss out on moments like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qhYWz1waZI or this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6i7IUa2jctE He just makes me laugh sometimes :)

Definitely a mute function: "you lost the lead", " you're in the lead" you lost the lead", " you're in the lead" you lost the lead", " you're in the lead" you lost the lead", " you're in the lead" . . . you get the point. Options are always good.
