Guinea pigs... lol. So you would rather not have a beta? That's what betas are for, not a full scale launch but gives devs an idea of where major issues may be.
I really would like to hear from the gamers who have little or no problem with Destiny's pvp. Being in Hawaii, we have a hard time with MM in general. Halo 5, as an example of game with dedicated servers, is absolutely horrible for us. Distance...
We are very often matched with fellow islanders in Destiny, I guess that helps a lot. But out of all the MM games we've played, it's the least problematic. Go figure.

I never said I would rather not have a Beta. But I would rather have them test the game more with an Alpha and a Beta just as they did the original Destiny. There were over 380 million people watching the Destiny 2 Gameplay Lifestream and I'm pretty sure on the release there's going to be close to that that want to play Destiny 2. I just feel that more testing utilizing the public would be better.
You mean 380 thousand?
Noooo it was definitely way more than 380,000 lol maybe 3,800,000. The stream on Twitch shows how many watched it on Twitch but I'm pretty sure a lot more people were watching it through other sources.

Yea I might've exaggerated a little bit lol. Watch the stream on Twitch and that shows you how many people were on. But that's just Twitch, that's not showing all of the other places they showcased it. However the point of this video was not about how many people watch the stream lol.

Bungie probably had in-house Alpha testing for the gameplay and are now using live events for their Beta testing of the same type. The Open Beta will be their main networking test, to see if their servers would be able to handle Launch Day's potentially high usage, but it will also be a back-up test for the community to provide REAL feedback on the gameplay that they have merely heard about or glimpsed at.
