Im 35, dont care about being in a relationship. Havent in a long time. I got a 12 year old son that wants to live with me instead of his mother. His mother has had about 20 different men move into her place and he is always on the back burner when it comes to her and her different boyfriends. He alone is all I care about. He sees so much shit with her, im not going to let him experience that with me. He is my only concern in life. Him and our dog.

I mean, yeah.. kids are great and should always be a priority but that doesn't mean you can't have relationships outside of that. Pretty ridiculous to imply that it's one way or the other though.

The way my son gets treated by his mother is main reason. Ive had bad relationships in past, it is the reason for the attitude ive had the past 10 or so years. He comes before anyone, its not fair to the woman i may be in a relationship with. My time is solely devoted to him. Im sure there is some women that is understandable with that. I wouldn't want a relationship with a woman who would choose me, over her kids.

I know exactly what you said, i just dont want my son thinking he is extra baggage when comes to me being in a relationship. He already goes through a lot. Now when he gets older, it might be a different story when it comes to me being in a relationship.
