When zavala says "He speaks! How is that possible?" He means how is he alive

Well in the original Taniks strike, Variks is your guide and he says something similar: "Taniks has called you out." I'm assuming since Variks is not part of the Rise of Iron storyline, the Vanguard substitute this with a simple "Taniks has spoken" in the Perfected strike dialogue.
