So I don't know when this happened (maybe sometime around 1 P.M. E.S.T this past Friday?), but I am seeing all over the forums that the radar is now considered a crutch relied on by people who think they are elite (but are actually terrible at this game in every possible way). Apparently, using an in-game mechanic that helps to make up for terrible audio cues is now considered "being a crutch player." These forums never fail to make my brain nice and toasty.
Edit 1: LOL we're somehow trending. Might respond to some of you, might not, IRDK. Have quite a bit of shit to do, so we'll see what happens.
Edit 2: I need to make this clear. At it's current state this game is shit, and I'm trying to avoid playing it because I need my sanity to finish my final paper. I was just interested in what people had to say about the topic. I do not have an opinion on the matter. Really couldn't care less at this point. But I do think they really need to look at more detailed audio cues in Destiny 2 if they truly are considering a "competitive" gameplay, regardless of what they do with the radar.

5 回覆由kindaSketch編輯: 11/1/2016 2:06:44 PMLol. Ok so radar is a crutch now. These -blam!-ing kids and their infinite excuses. The REAL problems in this game is 1. Lag 2. Inconsistent hit registration. ie, bloom n lag 3. Weak primaries 4. Underpowered n op abilities 5. Unbalanced weapons. 6. Bungie's insistence on having some weapons and some sub classes being dominant at different times. 7. Matchmaking of the skill based persuasion. This game has become a laughing stock. I'm about to go full battlefield 1

2 回覆Lol you're the guy that bagged me in rumble last night because I juked your shotgun
you left early too
3 回覆If someone discovers that they just aren't effective without a tool, then said tool is a crutch. For those that are effective with or without it, it is not a crutch. Personally, I'm not very good in either situation. I need a motorized wheelchair.

10 回覆Its funny, how people complain about the game being shit once the radar isn't a factor. Have you considered that maybe you genuinely aren't good at this game at all? I mean, without the radar the real skill comes in, and when real skill comes in - people like you don't seem to be too successful and then bitch about it on the forums. Weird how that works. You sound like a spoiled brat, get over yourself Please delete your account

4 回覆Hell, I got my first ever flawless last week, and it's because my team, who is usually garbage, is smarter than the other teams, I love the no radar. However, I am still trash, let's be real, that ain't changing.

由Shaved Penguin編輯: 11/2/2016 3:45:30 PMPeople are just being elitist. It's part of the game. It's a tool afforded to you. It takes skill to use the radar too. It's just a different play style. I don't mind no radar. It's a fun diversion. It changes the game and gives to a different style of play. The most annoying thing about no radar is people getting shot a couple of times and then fleeing around the map to just doing the same thing over again.

2 回覆If you feel like you need it or perform better with it then Yes, it's a crutch. (Judging by what the usual Lighthouse trolls have been saying on the forums after getting beat by "scrubs", it's definitely a crutch. Same goes for rez shields.)

This radar is awful. Unbearable. While I love pizza, the pizza slice radar is terrible. Why can't we have enemy dots!?! Bring back the Halo 3 radar! The giant, red, flashing circle in the middle is too damn confusing.

4 回覆I'm a halo vet, and I was involved in the mlg scene for halo 3 and reach, so no matter what game I play, I prefer no radar. And honestly, I do consider it a crutch. It promotes unskilled behavior like camping and waiting with a shotgun, although I think in destiny even if you're crouched, you still show up on radar. (Could be wrong. I don't pay that much attention to the radar, so if I'm wrong, some correct me please) However, are you using a good headset? I don't have any problem with hearing people around me in destiny.

Honestly I find the radar to be a liability for me sometimes. You see, I'm fairly prone to do things poorly when trying to anticipate them. The radar makes me more worried than confident, leading to poor performance. Without radar in pvp, I find myself focusing less on my hud and more on what's in front of me, which leads to overall better performance in encounters with opposing guardians.(if that makes any sense to anyone)
if this sounds intelligent or just something good to debate over, then by all means, please do so. If this sounds like something that happens to you, let me know. If it sounds stupid then please pretend that you never read this and move on.
1 回覆Breathing is now a confirmed crutch, skilled players hold their breath the entire card.

Yeah guys! Complaining about how I can only hear ppl jumping, shooting, and activating abilities is stupid! I'm the dumb one if I can't HEAR someone SPRINTING at me! Oh wait! There isn't any noticeable audio cues. I love no revives and I'd be fine with severely REDUCED radar but no radar is garbage. This ain't R6
