So because the people who earned the money get to keep more of their money the government will be hurt? Sounds like a spending problem.

Surprisingly (actually not surprising at all), people on the lower end of the income threshold do more for businesses than those in the 1%. The middle and lower class are the ones who actually fuel the economy. How many 1%-ers do you reckon shop at Walmart, or Target, or McDonald's, or Taco Bell, or that super ghetto gas station down the street? These kinds of businesses run on the business of middle to lower income citizens. The 1% has no right to pay less when they're already doing less. Also, if a person is old money and they're only claim to the family fortune is being family (they have literally done nothing of note within their life), can you really say that money was earned by them?

I'm not interested in arguing your point. It would be a waste of time trying to explain that the top 1% pay about half the income tax in this country. But that's not enough I guess. Who owns those business you listed by the way? The middle class and lower class? My point was that I don't care if the government is hurt by a citizen getting to keep more of their own money. It's not the governments money in the first place. That's it. The bigger issue is the outrageous spending levels in DC. Which the left never wants to talk about. Maybe it's time we get away from baseline budgeting and DC learns to mange our money better. Again it's our money(and yours). Not the governments. Finally, what's wrong with 'old money'? Did you or the government earn it? What entitles DC to make a claim on it?

Uh no, the government own the money as they print it and give imaginary value to it. Taxes are the interest paid back to the government on the money you are borrowing from them. None of the money you have is actually yours.

And the Federal Reserve itself was instituted by and functions for the government. They even have to pay the majority of their profits back into the US Treasury seeing as US currency belongs to the US government. The government holds sole rights to the destruction of currency (illegal for a private citizen to do so) as they need to keep track of what's theirs.

That's literally how it works. If this is the first time you're realizing this, I hope your mind is still safely inside your skull. Your money doesn't belong to you, it never has. Seriously, try not paying taxes and instead claim it's your money and you can do what you want with it. Let me know how that goes.

They don't have to hold a gun to your head. They have full legal authority to freeze or even claim your assets at their discretion. The government owns all of it. We are simply allowed to live under the pretense that we own what we have.

I just did some quick research on a free market just to make sure I had it down. A true free market means no government intervention. So that means regulation has to be relied upon by the private sector: drugs, food ,services, and goods. I don't think you quite understand the issue with that here.

So people will be able to sell tainted meat, heavily lying in advertising (which can end up with quite a few deaths when it comes to medication), and goods that don't actually function. No government intervention means no protection for people when businesses take advantage of the lack of regulation.

That's false. We live in a representative Democracy. We have zero control over any decisions the government makes for our "well being". There's this little thing called "gerrymandering" where political parties are able to draw up ridiculously shaped districts in order to force votes in their favor. Sorry, but that's about as far from being "for the people" as you can get.

One of a few things could happen: -Explode the national debt -Cut SS, Medicare, assistance and everything else, further damaging the already hollowed middle class. -Raise taxes on everyone else to cover the shortfall.
