Any thoughts on the rumored Destiny 2 information?
The main points of the newest "information" is that:
New planets, social spaces, and activities
PC release
Characters being left behind
Thoughts on this information?
I for one am:
Stoked about the first part
Indifferent about the second
And not fond about the third.
Rant about characters:[spoiler]Id like to bring my characters along, and their shit with them, even if that shit is useless in D2.
Make my current gear the equivalent of year one gear now for D2, thats fine by me.
But dont just rip it away from me.
Or if you are going to have use start fresh, give us a trophy room for our characters. Kinda like the kiosks. Just to show what our account has accomplished, the exotics wev gained, full gear sets and weapons from raids and pvp.
That kinda stuff. *Insert Deej quote about not wanting us to feel like we wasted our time and effort getting gear we love or whatever*
Not to mention that im pretty sure they said our characters would travel with us throughout our destiny life. Now they might be saying otherwise? End the lies bungievision.
If you had said from the beginning that chars would wipe each game, or just didnt say anything about character wipes/nonwipes, that would have been better too, for then i would not have built such an attachment to mine.

1 回覆The only fps series i give a shit about is battlefield and the reason i got destiny was because bungie sold me on this massive immersive expanding story over ten years i was going to be able play throughout on my custom character. Taking that away would defeat any purpose of my wanting to buy and play again.

1 回覆As long as there is reference to our characters and players that have put in time get something according to accomplishments I'm fine leaving our toons behind. Think dragon age. We don't know the timeline and such.

I hope everything is completely changed and new. Bungie really screwed up Destiny overall and maybe this time they will learn from their mistakes and make the greatest mmo of all time. If they get assistance from Activision and Blizzard to make a 60fps Destiny OPEN WORLD MMORPG with perfect balancing, we might have a game as popular and impressive as World of World that we will never be able to stop playing. I don't even want to think about how much money they would make This actually could already be happening because Overwatch was originally supposed to be an mmo, so maybe they decided to put more work into what I think is a better platform for and mmo Who else would love for this to happen? Let Bungie know what we want and let me know what you think. I would actually never stop playing this game

Losing our progress is a bit disconcerting. It's not like leveling up/ infusing up/ upgrading is done in a weekend. I don't think there's a way around it. Bungie probably is right about wiping and starting fresh but losing everything I worked on for a year gives me a hopeless feeling like "Why waste my time anymore." Honestly, could see myself saying Sayōnara.

1 回覆My only worry about the leak is: if destiny is coming to PC then there better be separate servers at least in PvP because of think most people would agree that PC is a much more "competitive" option.

2 回覆I would expect the first. Why is the second even a bone of contention? They could release Destiny 2 on calculator for all the difference it makes to us. PC players are notoriously fickle and the game would probably only last 6 months on that platform anyway. The last one? Well, it's a straight contradiction to what we were told a while ago. However, is it not the prerogative of the developers to change their mind should it suit the development of the game? I mean, I could ask my friend who works at High Moon, but NDA's and all that....

2 回覆Playable areas have more "populated towns and outposts" with more "interesting quests than what is seen with patrols" Sounds -blam!-ing awesome to me! I'm all for destiny taking on more mmo elements. Vast questing zones with actual towns and citizens. Drool.

3 回覆My thought is that if the best source Kotaku could provide for this "leak" is an anonymous NeoGAF user who claims that his friend at Activision gave him this information (despite knowing full well that game developers tend to deal with leaks and those who are responsible for them harshly), I shudder to think what their definition of a credible source is.

1 回覆Did they definitively say we're leaving our characters behind? Or did they just say it would be a new experience? I'd be ok starting at level 1 but with my same looking guardian and hopefully some kind of bonus(es) for playing Destiny 1. Emblem, ship, whatever. They explicitly said a long time ago that they want to have players take their guardians on a 10 year journey through the Destiny universe, so I'd be surprised if they force us to leave EVERYTHING behind.

1 回覆I think we should be able to migrate select emblems to D2 and THATS IT. Personally, I would like D2 to be a fresh start of a new game. I want to get new weapons and armor and not use the same ones I've been using for years. If they decide to bring back some weapons for D2 I will definitely not complain. But I want a small recognition for our progress, not a huge one

1 回覆I do have a problem with leaving my first and favorite day one, year one Warlock behind. I see people whining about Destiny 2 coming to PC.. and I would just like to know, why! This stale ass community could do with some fresh blood,new ideas, and feedback. Plus more money for game development. Let's hope bungie does like 343 and does free DLC content every month and maybe a paid in September and March. They should really also NOT -blam!- up the story and gameplay this time. This is their last chance to bring back some Guardians and not lose more.

1 回覆Leaving the characters will be hard to do! To many memories being left behind like when you finished the khostov quest and the ghost talked about the old days.... that's what it will feel like to me!
