I think all abilities need to be looked at and have damage reduction when they are at a further distance.
The same thing can be said about a warlock melee. If the tip of the melee hits me then I should not take the full force damage it doesn't make sense.

The most power in a real life straight punch is that very end of the arms extension. So it makes perfect sence. It would make more sence if damage was reduced if one got melee hit by a warlock prior to said extension

From his arm is an ability. It's not an arguable thing. This is the way that it is. Undisputedly, the arm should not reach the range that it does if the melee was all arm. There is an ability that leaves his arm. The damage of that ability should be reduced once you are far out of the actual melee reach and the ability is what is killing you.

I have been OH killed by special slot shotguns that were out of my warlocks melee range many times. So warlocks melee range isnt better than some shotguns. But in the end its not the warlocks melee problem if Bungie wants shot gun ranges super short. Since you are comparing it to shot guns. Besides like i said warlocks are supposed to have better range. Ppl have to be prepaired for that when facing a warlock.

The videos are probably fun to watch. But when I play a Warlock. Yea ill get in the first blow but i wont get a second one before i get meleed once. Still takes at least two shots for warlocks to kill a full heath enemy. Sometimes i win sometimes not. Really depends on who makes the best next move to land the killing blow.

Warlocks can damage with a weapon and melee from a range. If I wanted to do such things I would have to get close in and usually the melee slashes the air. Shotguns should still be more effective. They should be between where shotguns are now and where the universal remote is now. Also the consistency needs to be looked at.
