The gun didn't end up being an AR-15 it was a Sig Sauer MCX. Still semi-automatc though so that does apply. The shooter worked for a British security company that was commonly contracted by the US government. Sources say it was possible that he could have access to high grade military equipment.

I'm just pointing out that your "sources" are 99% wrong about every theory they shovel out of their fearporn machines. once in a blue moon they get one right, but usually in a "I mentioned SOMETHING might happen in one of the 29 states I listed last month. told ya soooo". He worked for g4s in a community right down the road from me. He purchased his guns legally from the shooting range I shoot at frequently. I know the guy who sold him the guns. From what I've heard, he used weapons easily obtainable by civilians.
