Well, these things take time to develop. After Black Flag's warm reception, the next year or two would actually be the perfect time for Ubisoft to announce and launch a pirate game. Hopefully Sea of Thieves delivers, though, at least for a multiplayer pirate game.

The first one was the fastest-selling new IP of all time before Destiny came along. It's not rocket science, and even if it underperformed critically, Ubisoft now has the chance to improve on it. Probably won't, of course.
