That's right! Defenders should get an exotic armor piece that grants armor lock at the cost of melee energy.

Equip armor lock Go into armor lock Go into forge mode Spawn armor lock "Delete all of this item" Gg
-
Defenders average a .9 k/d and Armor Lock will bring that down. Its already the lowest k/d class and the weakest by far according to stats (before your butt replies go to destinytracker because it lists all these statistics so you should stop thinking about what you will post and believe me)

This kind of gives me an idea for a new Defender exotic armor piece. I don't have a name for it, but its exotic perk allows the defender and allies to be able to leave the ward of dawn with Armor of Light. As we all know, you stay in the ward for Armor of Light. But once you leave it, the Armor of Light goes away instantly. And if I'm not mistaken, Armor of Light gives a stronger overshield than Blessing of Light. Think of the strategies that can come from this. In King's Fall, one defender could use Armor of Light instead of Blessing of Light and everyone in the team would get a stronger overshield. In the Prison of Elders, the same applies. In the Crucible, a defender could activate his Ward and any teammate that runs through it will have a slightly better chance of surviving. What do you guys think?

This would be utterly useless. Whenever one would activate it, someone would wait with a shotgun in front of you. Useless.

由Olympicwolf編輯: 4/11/2016 8:36:28 AMAs long as it's the beta variant that had little to no animation frames and the instant EMP blast. Then all these Destiny kids would know the true meaning of 'OP'.

I like this idea, I'm just considered about how OP it would be. Hear me out. Your melee charge takes twice as long to charge up, but when it is charged, you can activate armor lock, which lasts 3 seconds and can block a nova bomb, FoH, golden gun, etc. also, if you get hit by an enemy melee, the armor lock protects you from it, and the enemy wastes their melee, and when the armor lock runs out you can easily kill the enemy (unless they have a shotgun).

I would like it if Defenders had, say, a riot shield type ability instead of Disintegrate. Come on, Bungie. Let me raise my arm and block a goddamn rocket with a magic shield. Please. Let Defenders actually have some defensive abilities outside of the Super.

由Malicious203FLK編輯: 4/11/2016 1:41:15 AMI posted this not that long ago in another thread. Titan Exotic Gauntlets: The Lockdown Protocol Our defenses must not fail; In the event of catastrophic damage initiate failsafe and await fireteam support Exotic Perk: Desperate Measure Drawing power from the Void, absorb Ward of Dawn to create an invulnerable stasis field that suppresses assailants How the perk works: By using the same button configuration for activating your super, your Titan will slam their fists together, destroying Ward of Dawn and become invulnerable and immobile for 5 seconds. Any damage sustained while this stasis field is active will suppress the source of said damage (that whole drawing power from the Void business). Titan must be inside Ward of Dawn for this perk to activate. This perk only protects the Titan inside Ward of Dawn. Example: Defender Titan pops bubble on heavy ammo spawn. Voidwalker/Striker/Gunslinger decides to break up the party with their super. Defender uses Desperate Measure perk and survives the attack while simultaneously suppressing the opposing Guardian. Titan will either be a sitting duck if no teammates are nearby to help clear enemy team or have countered the opposing super and assisted team in acquiring heavy ammo crate.
Yes this idea is inspired by Armor Lock. Inb4 this isn't Halo comment, Ward of Dawn itself is a spin on the Bubble Shield from Halo 3.
Pre-nerf armor lock yes! Remember how they nerfed armor lock because bungie had nothing but whiney brats back then as well?!?
-
Armor lock for the cost of melee energy? Hmmm. Interesting thought, though I can hear the cries of the children.

由UNIT 242編輯: 4/11/2016 6:22:39 AMI remember how OP armor lock was. It had a near instant animation If someone melee'd you in it, they lost their shields. If you were stuck with a sticky, it would throw the sticky off your body (later changed) AND it could stick the thrower if angled right Destroyed a tank of any size charging at you Could charge it for an EMP that killed all shields and abilities around you Tanked rockets, snipers, Spartan lasers, frags, sword hits, etc. Was a melee animation reset, allowing for melee, armor lock tap, melee I LOVED ARMOR LOCK. It was this or sprint 100% of my games.

I remember a guy chasing me in Reach with his Rocket Launcher. I went up a ramp and turned into a little building. Knowing that the guy was still right behind me, I went into Armor Lock as soon as he rounded the corner after me. He fired his rocket, but it bounced off me and killed him with a direct hit. Oh, that was a glorious T-bagging...

A lot of whiny complaints will happen from the PvP side. "You shouldn't be able to snipe me after Armor Lock!" "Shoulder Charge launched me off the edge and killed me!"
-
It was so useless in PvE. The Covenant would stand around, waiting for you to exit invincibility mode, then keep shooting. And there is always that one motherfúcking Grunt that chucks a plasma 'nade and sticks you just when you leave armour lock...
