The vex name obviously come from mythological monsters.
Ishtar is the goddess of fertility in Hinduism (I think)
Cerberus vae iii comes from Cerberus the Greek mythological dog with 2 or 3 heads (My Greek mythology is quite rusty)
Eris = A moon
Trials is obviously Egyptian themed
Phalanx are named after something (Can't quite remember, I saw something about phalanx and I thought," Hey, that's from destiny")
