Does racism still have a large effect on our country?

1 回覆Race and income. There was a case if drunk driving recently in where a rich white kid killed 4 people, the white judge sent him to a top of the line rehab facility. The same judge sentenced a poor black kid to something like 10 years for throwing a punch and accidentally killing another kid. The lawyer of the white kid claimed he suffered from "[i][b]affluenza[/b][/i]". Google it

Of course, I would hate to be white or asian in America today (yes I am assuming America here). Being black gives me a lot advantages applying for schools and jobs. I do get treated pretty badly by some people though because I don't consider myself a democrat. How dare a black man think for himself right!

6 回覆The area I am currently in is very racist. Confederate flags everywhere, truly ignorant remarks, etc. What's odd is that many of these people seem truly clueless about how racist they are.
