Prove to me that you exist(2.0)
One year after I made the original thread, I feel it's time to once more incite the debate about proving your existence to me(and the rest of the Flood).
As in the previous thread, the "I think therefore I am" argument is invalid and presets no objective facts.
And go!

1 回覆You simply can't prove anything. We all believe we are the "main character" to life and no matter how hard we try, we'll never truly know what it's like to be someone else.

There are two situations: I am not an extension of you, I am an entity upon myself. Not being of you, I am able to create this post through my own processing of thought. I created something, so I exist. I am an extension of you. However, even if this post is of your own, it is an idea upon itself. Even if this post is of you, it is an individual thought, and therefore exists.

Habilis can be relatively certain of his own existence, but not of A84. A84 only really real if A84 actually correspond to something "real" out side of Habilis sensory perception of A84. Habilis assurance of own existence somewhat Cartesian in nature, as Habilis finds it waste of time to doubt own existence. Habilis cannot doubt reality of own thoughts. Maybe doubt reality, but not own thoughts. Not afraid to doubt own thoughts, just thinks doing so waste of time.

1 回覆It appears to me that it is impossible for me to prove my exsistence to you. As the brain can create anything or rather simulate it. I cannot prove myself to you however you cannot prove yourself to me. [spoiler]Which one of us is real?[/spoiler]
