Hawkmoon, which used to be my favorite weapon in the game, has now taken a backseat to its legendary counterpart, Eyasluna.
Hawkmoon's exotic perk back in Year 1 didn't feel exotic (at all), but the gun was amazing because of the way it handled.
Now, not only has the exotic perk been nerfed multiple times (despite the fact that it was terrible to begin with), but it has zero range, zero ammo capacity, and zero accuracy.
Seriously, Bungie? 60 rounds max? That's with an armor piece with Hand Cannon ammo. Are you kidding?
My favorite weapon is now a very, very inaccurate watergun.
At least it still has an incredibly low drop rate. Oh, wait, that's also a bad thing.
R.I.P. Hawkmoon :'(

For all of the people saying the chance for an OHK made it exotic:
I never got it to happen in all of year 1. The chance was < 1/2000* (Un-exaggerated it, but the point is still just as strong).
Would it be okay if Thorn had a 1/2,000 chance to apply DoT? No.
Would it be okay if Red Death had a 1/2,000 chance to heal on kill? No.
Would it be okay if the -blam!-ing Gjallarhorn had a 1/2,000 chance to activate the famous SmoggyPack Rounds? -BLAM!!!- NO!
So what makes Hawkmoon's perk different?
If I wanted an OHK headshot, I'd use a bloody Sniper Rifle. At least those don't take up my exotic slot.

由AidanMaslowPhD編輯: 2/17/2016 7:41:54 AMMy Finnala's Peril with Spray & Play, Smallbore, & Third Eye is significantly better than the Hawkmoon. Hawkmoon needs a lot more range. This is how I would rank current top six hand cannons: Thorn (still the best in PVP) Eyasluna Finnala's Peril The Last Word Imago Loop Hawkmoon
