The problem is that they require ZERO skill to use and end up as crutches for players who are to shitty to use a primary LET ALONE a sniper.

Soooo, running up so someones face and shooting them, takes no skill, but a Tati g in the back of the map, camp, and hard scope does? Nïggah fück you. Shotguns are the way they supposed to be, hell, id say give them higher range.

Nah see you don't get it! Snipers require skill. Shotguns don't. Then you get the fact that every map in the game is tight and small which allows people to play like pussies and run around with NOTHING but a shotgun, Barely any primary usage. Any good sniper doesn't CAMP we make aggressive peaks and smart plays because we can't rush in like retards. You don't need game skill because no matter what mistakes you make, you're forgiven because you have an effortless one-shot in a fight that can not be lost unless the other person has a shotgun.

Snipers require no skill. Your trippin its like an aimbot I have a hidden hand 1000yd and let me tell u you should NOT be able to snipe a guy in the head at shotgun range. Your mistaken they both require different play styles but are not at all hard to use.

My god...there's so much stupidity here. Tell you what, there's a difference between a shotgun scrub and a good player. 1. You have to use all guns accordingly I can get a 15 kill streak with a primary and a shotgun or a primary and a sniper. Its all about being flexible. This guy wouldn't last in a ttk ToO just using a shotgun. The way people play cautiously its really hard to close in. But, I respect anyone who can clear a team of 3 GOOD players with a shotgun in a trials match without dying. THAT is skill. No gain crucible matches do not matter its there for fun only. But, its good practice if you play like you do in trials its all about tact. Depending on the map and how people play you have to be good with all manner of weapon types not just one. Its the less skilled players who're here complaining about a sine weapon type. Get good at all of them. Understand that if you get shot by a shotgun its because you weren't paying enough attention to your flank or your aim sucks that you can't kill a rushing scrub. Hold your position. Doing everything you can to be ready for the situation that's what sets you apart from the mindless scrubs who use a shotgun and not their primary. The main poster here would get annihilated in a skirmish match against me if shotgunning was all he did. No doubt.

It's not that I'm an enthusiast. Its a fact. It's that I actually like achieving something and putting in a little bit of effort. You can practically put down the controller and still get kills with a shotgun. I understand that Bungie intended shotguns to be a way for less skilled players to be successful, but that's not an excuse to use them as a -blam!-ing primary just because you have so little gun skill that you're incapable of using a primary weapon. Most Top 1% players like me understand that if you run around using nothing but a shotgun, you don't get better at the game.

And ps I would scrub the ground with your salty sniping ass act like you got skill hah top 1% your kd is 1.3 and you have more hand cannon kills then anything with snipers not trailing far behind I can tell why your not a fan of shotgun guys lol.
