Are Guardians all right in the head or even fully alive?
It's a dumb question but... I've been thinking how Guardians do not show any signs of PTSD or anything? I mean they have killed countless enemies and they have died over and over again and they merely shake it off like nothing happened. I know that Guardians are superb soldiers who were brought back from the dead to fight against The Darkness. Is it possible that Guardians are something like zombies except sentient? (Well technically they are zombies) Could that be the reason why I think Guardians seem so... Emotionless despite the horror they go through daily? All they do is kill, kill and kill then die, then resurrect and then kill the creature who killed them.

4 回覆Basically, we're pretty much the traveler's defense drones. My guess is that we're are fully alive but either not fully there mentally so we don't get distracted from our purpose. Or, we are brought back with some kind of bias affinity for the traveler that makes us not care for anything except the traveler's safety. (I find the second more likely

2 回覆We are 100 year old corpses brought back from the dead my a machine that claims to have been spawned from a great big ball. We traipse around killing any Alien race some faceless bloke tells us is evil. We desecrate ruins, we destroy armies, we show no fear or regret. We have to buy our own guns, and as far as I can tell, we don't eat, or sleep or have sex and we never go and meet the people we are allegedly protecting. Maybe...we are the bad guys.

6 回覆Not everyone reacts in the same manner to the same stimuli. I am a retired Army combat vet and don't have PTSD, nor am I a sociopath / psychopath.....but I am admit to being a callous bastard.

5 回覆Not to mention all those years "dead" before we were brought back. I am fairly sure we are kind of jacked up.

1 回覆Or everytime we die our memories get wiped and we ignore stuff like PTSD and what not. Also it would be neat to have a number next to out name to indicate how many times we were revived/renewed like how all the people in the tower are.
