Before anyone goes off about "It's RNG, it's completely luck based", I know this, but this is just what I found out. Last night I began to do the material missions for each sword. Sticking with what I was told I remained in the same area farming materials over and over again and in the span of an hour and half....only got 3 of the materials. However, I did find a faster method that shaves off a lot of time. 1. Make sure you have the material locator perk for your ghost. (A good note here. The sensor range is equal to the effective range of your weapon at that moment. If you have a short range weapon, even when zoomed, you are going to have a short range sensor. Having a sniper with good range can allow you to see where every material is the moment step foot into the area) 2. Farm out all the materials in the starting area of each patrol. 3. Move onto the next area and again get all of materials. Do this for each area until you have visited them at least once. If there are no materials just move on to the next area. 4. Go To orbit and return. 5. Repeat until you have all the materials needed. Doing this took me around 15-20 minutes per run through and usually got me 1-2 of the materials per run. Doing the above method I was able to get both my solar and arc materials in less than 2 hours. Hope this helps everyone out in getting through this part a bit faster.
