I personally prefer the one orb strat. It takes nearly all of the risk out of the fight.

yeah - done it many ways now but one orb strat. makes things a lot easier (any strat can work though, as long as dps, gaze and ad management is good) - this fight has gone from being v. hard to being a lot more manageable - there's still quite a few people who struggle with the basics of the fight i.e. - stay back and shoot adds (don't die) - get bubble down quickly whilst gazer communicates when he's taken gaze - USING SNIPERS (still loads of groups where 2 or 3 people are doing like 1/5th of the damage of someone else and they don't see that as an issue), snipers crit. higher than any other weapon class and golgoroth is easier to crit - even reloading with a sniper is better than using anything else (which is why black spindle is so awesome for this fight - no reload if golgs ligned up right) AND add management, OK if you are doing crap damage and there's a couple of spindles in the group doing big damage make sure that the cursed thralls aren't killing the group which allows everyone to do more damage people are generally stubborn and although a lot of people are learning the basic mechanics of this fight and what works - others are still not quite grasping it and are either A: not being to do it or B: being carried by others who know what they are doing (...whilst spouting on how easy the fight is :P) i've also heard a lot of people in game saying that the black spindle isn't that good for golgoroth which makes me think that they don't understand the fight at all (1000 yard stare with spray and play is decent too, but otherwise black spindle for the win) i don't use my spindle for any of the other raid bosses, but for golgoroth it's a no brainer (use hawkmoon, defiance of yasmin, qullim's terminus for it's versatility, quick firing and useful cocoon perk for cycling damage - touch of malice for daughters/sisters?! (always get confused which one) and oryx)

I was doubtful having done the 'zig-zag' several times, but I've gotta agree - it's super low risk, nice and easy way to do it. Four or five runs but each is quick and not very chaotic. Weapons of Light + bow helps a lot too
