Progressives Will be the end of democracy
I've never seen a more irrational ideological group of people with such a strong confirmation bias in my life than progressives. The constant push for social Marxism and the idea that they can enforce what is wrong think, and the firm belief that censorship of speech should be implemented so as to not make anyone feel uncomfortable, makes me very uncomfortable and the thought that this could end up being our future has been keeping me up at night.
Does this idea worry anyone?
Edit: I figured it was straight forward but I guess not. Progressives fall specifically under the authoritarian left

Yeah, it is the beginning of the downfall of the American empire. Unfortunate. We are living a moment of history where over half the population has become soft gay and lazy. There's a reason conservative people believe in hard work, firm morals, and wholesome values, and it's because of what happens when those things are not upheld by a country. The product of what we're dealing with now.

1 回覆If there's any political group that's more cancerous than the Religious Right, it's Modern Progressives. They've destroyed left-leaning parties such as the Lib Dems and Labour, turning them into echo chambers for sexism and racism.

Because when a nuke is about to be dropped on your house it's better to stand outside and pray for God to stop it than be with everyone else in a science-proven bomb shelter. Because the minute chance that God exists and us willing to help us is better to hold on to than supporting new ideas that are guaranteed to help us. Sounds good to me!

7 回覆I see where you're coming from. Being 16, and not know a whole lot about politics, I'm not gonna tell you how wrong or right you are though. Just don't vote for Trump. I've seen enough evidence against that.

12 回覆Difference is balance, which is what we need. An intolerance for the views of another group and refusal to work with them is what we have, and it is tearing us apart.

You then argue with people like I said "SOCIAL Marxist" or "I hate progressives not liberals." Can you please define the following terms for us so we can all be on the same page? Social Marxist(redundant?) Marxist Socialist Progressive Liberal Conservative

3 回覆Sargon of akkad made a good point that stuck with me, the progressiveness isnt necessarily a bad thing, but its the authoritarian nature that is plaguing it. Im sick of it atm too -blam!- feelings and christopher hitchens for the win

43 回覆We progressives are simply trying to promote social equality and tolerance into a very flawed society. We are much more democratic than most conservatives since many of them just want to implement Christian Sharia. You think our ideology will lead to an Orwellian future but it will do the opposite.
