The price will never lower, because that's uneconomical. As long as the demand is high the price will be high.

By the time the demand drop rough for them to lower he price, we'll be at year 3 already. If the game even survives for that much longer. Plus, The Taken King will probably be made irrelevant at that point with the addition of even more overpriced "DLC" or rather "Expansion Packs." So the way this works is that they release more "content" that makes the previous content obsolete, so the only real way to enjoy the game is to buy their so called "content" while it's still ripe, because it can and will go rotten pretty damn fast.

Yeah, but, - The Witcher 3 -60 hours of content plus expansion a $25 expansion pass, and then the first expansion is supposed to bring over or close to 10 hours of extra gameplay. Metal Gear Solid V - 50 hours of gameplay amounts to 2 percent overall completion. Destiny- you could beat it in a day or two. Plus a $40 expansion pass that comes with eight or nine story missions and a raid, plus some crucible PvP stuff. It's really not worth it compared to what else is currently available in the market right now.
