The flood are anything but primitive if we're talking Forerunner-Flood war. They were able to hack and take over Mendicant Bias, one of the two most powerful AI that the Forerunners ever built. Taking over battle droids would require damn near zero effort

Yup but thats where clones + the empire come in. With their troops. Also IG88 by himself almost hacked and destroyed the entire death star but was stopped by R2-Q5(an astro mech built by the empire) in his attempt. There is also: the shadow troops and guards, imperial inquisitors, dark troopers, dark jedi, sith acolytes, emperor's hand, the bounty hunter cadre, and starkiller. So they have quite a few ELITE troops and units in SWU

Smart AIs can also hack into ships(even alien ones) Besides Spartans(and the diffrent generations of spartans) there are also ODST, Hunters (and scarabs), Brute cheiftans, Elites, Honor guards,( even the prophets have weapons), and Arbiter.

Dark troopers are quite a bit MORE formidable than hunters tho and dont have that orange weakness spots, their armor is made of PHRIK and is impenetrable to blaster fire or lightsaber slashes and they can fly and have a proton cannon with concussion missles: starship weapons (talking dark troopers phase 3 not the phase zeros) and the dark jedi/ sith acolytes are roughly 1/4-1/3 of starkillers potential capacity battle wise only quite a bit more experienced. Star killer could end an arbiter or spartan with one glance and a hand wave tho lol

Scarab, thats the tank right? Also starkiller could force maelstrom and lightning 4-8 targets at once (lift them up shock them blast them very far away and even then cause them to explode) all at the same time. In clone wars TV show, Anakin alone shows how easy a jedi can wipe a tank out, let alone the part where yoda is ambushed by 3 of them and an entire COLUMN of battle droids.

Yea a tank the size of a building is still a tank tho, the octuptra droid tank was something like 3-5 stories tall, in the movie release of the initial clone wars tv sho ani takes out 2 quite quickly. In ESB luke takes out an AT AT with a lightsaber and a large explosive charge Some of the scarabs are much larger yes but same principals apply: A squad of phase 3 dark troopers with their superior mobility and starfighter cannons could take one out

Please, you just said that the igg-thingy hack and nearly destroyed the deathstar. So no doubt a few smart AIs can do the same and follow through with all the other ships. If a few alphabet ships can destroy it, how hard can it be.

The x wings caught the death star before it unloaded even a fraction of its on board armada, the ig88 was stopped by ONE LONE ASTROMECH there are a few hundred thousand on board, so yea not saying the network in impenetrable but certainly pretty sophisticated. Tarkin underestimated the rebel's offensive capabilities, so through blind ambition and arrogance he lost.

If ig88 nearly detroyed it, then surely aleast some of the capabilities of the deathstar can be crippled(defensive or offensive ), same going for the destroyers, and a few well timed MAC cannons can then take out the deathstar.
