I come from a Darwinian approach even though I myself have a faith.its not that being a homosexual is necessarily wrong, but it's not right. One of primate relatives the bonobo (think of them as a less aggressive chimpanzee) check each others dick size because who ever is biggest a better breeder. In a way that could be viewed as "Homosexual" but, if you want my opinion, if you guys are going to have a baby using the semen transfer program thing, that isn't natural. Like if you gonna have a kid screw a chick. Secondly homosexuals can't reproduce. That in Darwinism is a weak genetic mutation and should be cut off. We should all be looking for the advancement and evolution of our race, mutations/defects like the "gay gene" would only hinder that growth (that goes for every other defect to mind you). So that's where I see it, from a empathetic point of view I believe people have a right to "love" who they want, but genetically it is a defect of the human genome. The DSM-VI states so.

Here we go. 1. Homosexuals can raise just as good kids as any other family, as they can raise just as bad children. You don't need both genders to have both parents, hell you don't even need both parents it to raise a good kid. 2. Whether it's observed in nature or not, who cares? How does an individuals choice to love the same sex affect your everyday life negatively? The answer is it doesn't; so kindly pull your nose out of their business. 3. For those who claim marriage is for reproduction purposes; then why not follow the Mormon beliefs and take many wives? They believe that God wants them to be fruitful with their loins and reproduce, so would you argue that you could only reproduce with one other person and that it's the sole purpose of marriage? To continue on that point, what about sterile people? Are they not allowed to get married since the whole purpose is reproduction? Why even waste their time? 4. The argument of "One man, one woman, and God" being the definition of marriage is outrageous. Would you deny atheists the right to marry since they don't believe? After all it's a covenant between god.

I think the most ideal way to be raised is to have a great mother and a great father so you get guidance from both genders. I think loving caring gay/lesbian parents are letter than 95% of parents so no issues for me.

Counterproductive to reproduction and continuation of species = genetic defect. We've got enough humans though so go for it, I've got no problems.

It's not all that unnatural. The only "unnatural" thing about it is the fact that reproduction can't take place, but reproduction as a means of survival hasn't been an issue since the pioneering days ended. Any inbred nutjob with a history of diabetes and Alzheimer's on both sides of his family can talk himself into a girl's pants these days. Plus we still don't know all that much about how the human brain works, especially in terms of how a couple of electrical signals translates into thinking about elephants.
