I'm not religious, but atheists have to be some of the most intolerant and self absorbed people I've had to speak to. Since when does not believing in something make you intellectually superior? Majority of them seem to be people who post Steven Hawking quotes on Facebook and ridicule religious followers, and that somehow means you're intelligent. The truth is people like that are the biggest problem in the world today.

I just don't see how god could exist, it doesn't make sense to me but I don't say that I'm an atheist and I'm intellectually superior. You believe what you want to believe but I'd appreciate it if you didn't ram your beliefs down my throat.

Well that's a fairly intolerant thing for you to say. I must admit however that many atheists do that but for every atheist that does there are 2(or more) atheists that choose not to respond and continue with their lives. Don't judge an atheist by his Dawkins quote. LOL

Many groups of people claim absolute knowledge about the origin of the universe and the nature of reality even though they can't back it up with proper evidence. One group of people has recently started to call them out on these claims, basically saying "you don't actually know that for sure so stop claiming it as fact and telling people what to do". I don't know how anyone can think it is the second group that are being arrogant.

No I think insulting and ridiculing people because their beliefs are different from your own is unreasonable and childish. If you don't believe then that's fine, learn to accept that they do, and they should accept that others don't.
