-chief could very easily dodge a nova Bomb. Mathematically proven somewhere on these forums...
-chief could take a GG shot with ease. Guardians can when they're far enough away and their shields are nothing in comparison
-inhuman LUCK always comes through when he needs it to
-can stab a combat knife into a covenant cruiser

Has a "geas". Meaning he can't die until he completed that destiny. Which he hasn't done. Won't spoil it all but you can research it if you want to. It explains his unexplainable luck.

Most halo players even go as far as to say Reach was non canon as it seems to clash with the novel, "Fall of Reach". However, the two can be fit together.
