It was depressing. Lots of ultra-conservative answers to social questions.
What we really need in this country is a fiscally conservative, socially liberal third party. I'm all for a strong military and strong borders, but there's no place for religion in government. It shouldn't matter what a candidate believes about God. It shouldn't matter how a serviceman sexually identifies. These things are non-issues. As long as you can do the job, you should be allowed to do the job.
Okay, First.
Obama changed the definition of marriage.
He appears to think that the radical Islamists are no big deal and let them thrive in our country and give Iran nuclear weapons. Islam is against same-sex marriage. I restate that. They hate same-sex marriage. The Koran says to put them to death. We Christians just don't agree with their views.
I'm a Christian. So yes, I think that a president led my God will greatly aid our country.
I'm not looking for a big argument this is just simply my opinion.

Government shouldn't be involved in marriage at all. All unions between people should be recognized as civil unions only. Let society sort out the definition of marriage on its own, without government intervention. The churches and activists can work that question out.

I agree with this. Like I said, I'm all for a strong military and strong borders, so I don't know why you thought that it was necessary to "set me straight" on this point.
That's completely delusional to think that a fictitious Bible character is an American patriot. Jesus Christ was probably the most Liberal character in religious literature.
