People's means "people is."
You don't want us to stop "correcting other people is grammar," now does you?

"People's" can also be used to show ownership. When we say "Bob's burgers" we aren't saying "Bob is burgers." The same applies to "People's" and in this case, it's the "People's" grammar. Have a nice day! Automatic7shot
