Why is the word "bigot" used so gratuitously when someone simply disagrees? Sounds like a method to shut anyone with an opposing view down.

I don't really care about what they legally are. I care about generic make up. Just like that new t.v. show coming out about the little boy who is transgender. It kind of makes me frustrated. He's upset because he can't get any boys to accept/date him. Why would a straight boy want to date another boy? Also he needs to understand that kids his age won't accept him. I am accepting to a point. I will not call an apple a pear just because you peel it and shape it like a pear. I will not call a grown man a woman just because he changes his name and wears a dress. Doesn't make me a bigot. It makes me a person who sees things for what they are.
Doesn't make me a bigot. It makes me a person who sees things for what they are.
you're right - it doesn't. what makes you a bigot is refusing to understand the situation and purposefully and repeatedly calling someone the wrong name, gender, etc.
