I agree that Gjallahorn shouldn't be necessary however I take issue with point C. Outside of one particularly annoying boss and maybe a solo Crota run no one needs the Gjallahorn to defeat any of the bosses in this game. However it can take significantly longer. Maybe if they made more bosses like Skolas and less like giant sponges this wouldn't be an issue.
