This is a revised version of my Mercury raid idea I developed with input and comments from Romen beast42, ExiledBacon, and jasonisdaspartan. It would be titled "The Crystal Mind" and its description would be: "Deep within this machine-world, the Vex use our own Light against us, blurring the line between true and false." It would begin with the fireteam spawning next to a massive Vex platform. The platform consists of a central hexagon and six rectangular "petals". On three petals, arranged in a "Y" shape, would be a sync plate. One member must stand on a sync plate. Once each plate is active, the petals would gain their own gravity and begin to tilt upwards toward one another. The raid would not progress if anyone is in the center or if a petal has more than one person. As they are rising the members would remain gravitationally attracted to their petals. During this phase Goblins and Harpies would spawn. Once the petals are vertical, you get a checkpoint without rewards. Now at the bottom of the hexagon a special Arc-Cyclops, named the Charybdis, would spawn. Members remain gravitationally attracted to their petals. The Charybdis is the same size as a normal Cyclops but is hexagonal in shape and behaves quite differently. Getting too close to or too far from the Charybdis results in a wipe. Its primary weapon is a super powered Arc Hobgoblin beam. It also has a unique ability. It will spawn an Oracle on a random petal. The player on the Oracle petal will suffer moderate Arc damage until the Oracle is destroyed. When the Charybdis is defeated you gain a checkpoint with rewards. Now a Vex timegate forms at the top of the hexagon. Run into it and begin the next phase. You find yourself in the same hexagon, but in the future. It appears that the petals are solid. However, the three members who were on the sync plates pick up a relic, the Skeptics' Eye, and discover that is not the case. The petals have holes and walls covering them, and being in the future, this is now inside of the Sun. The three relic holders will be able to see the truth at all times, but they must use the grenade button to allow the players opposite of them to see. While the team is crossing it must shoot Oracles or suffer a wipe. After all six members cross, you get a checkpoint without rewards. A timegate forms. Enter it to continue. Now you are at the bottom of the hexagon, in the past. At the top will be another unique Cyclops, named the Scylla. Again getting too close to or too far from it results in a wipe. This enemy has six eyes, from which it shoots normal strength Hobgoblin Arc beams. Instead of spawning Oracles, it spawns containment bubbles. Anyone trapped inside a bubble suffers moderate Arc damage. Once it is defeated the fireteam will run back to the sync plates. Once each plate is active, the petals begin to lower. While lowering, Goblins and Harpies spawn again. When the petals are horizontal you get a checkpoint with rewards. At this point a hole would be at the center of the hexagon. Jump into it and find yourself on a large, fast moving elevator. Now three miniature Templars, collectively known as the Cerberus, spawn. But soon after, they each split in two. Three are real and three are not. You must shoot to discover which is which. The fake ones will shoot but not damage. The Cerberus is fast for a Hydra and teleports constantly, making the battle more difficult. It must be destroyed before the elevator arrives at the bottom, or the entire team would wipe. Once the Cerberus is dead, you get a checkpoint with rewards. Once the elevator lands the team arrives at three sync plates. Have at least one person and no more than two people on each plate. Now you are inside of a giant sphere made of crystal. Instead of falling down or to the center, you fall to the inner surface of the sphere. On opposite sides of the sphere, representing North and South, are sync plates. Stand on each plate to summon the final boss, Luxyron. Luxyron is a Hobgoblin slightly larger than the average Minotaur, has a crystalline appearance, and has long whip-like tentacles instead of arms. In order to be defeated, its shield must be destroyed. The only way to destroy the shield is for two members to use the Super of the Skeptics' Eye at once. While its shield is active it thrashes its tentacles violently, dealing both Kinetic damage and Arc damage. In order to get the relics, barriers on the sync plates must be shot. Once the barriers are down two people must enter the plates. While in each of the plates you are in the sphere, but in either the past or the future. The Skeptics' Eyes will be in tough containment bubbles. Destroy the bubbles and grab the relics. Meanwhile other members must prevent new barriers from forming. Once both relics are obtained wait for the Super to charge. Once charged shoot Luxyron. Now the shield is down, but it shoots Void beams out. Press the zoom/aim button to reflect the beams back to Luxyron. It regains its shield and releases a large Solar blast. This must be done four or five times to defeat Luxyron. Once Luxyron is dead, you get rewards and the raid is over. And your ideas sound good.
