After reading the entire euro gamer interview and the recent Forbes magazine piece release today- hard to see bungie not addressing this soon. Apparently DeeJ has said there will be something better in store for current gamers, but they don't know what yet. They are scrambling to do damage control after this guy made them looks like corporate assholes.

READ---
An apology is not about Luke Smith, it's about bungie admitting fault. By him apologizing it means Bungie OK the apology and is apologizing trough him to a degree, while them apologizing directly would be ideal, that's not going to happen.
UPDATE ON DLC!!!!!----
Bungie has partnered with Red Bull and now an "Epic Quest" which originally os part of TTK is only accessible if you purchase a special can of Red Bull and get the access code. Otherwise you have to wait until mid-December to play it if you don't buy Red Bull.

Bungie doesn't care about the consumers, only their money.
You now have to purchase 3rd party products in order to play something you will have purchased outright. Where does it end?
Edit- sorry for the grammatical error, should say HE.
Edit--
Why do all you fools keep saying "your sad to get so upset over a few emotes..."
It has absolutely nothing to do with the emotes. It has to do with the principle of respecting your consumers/clientele and not be arrogant enough to blatantly speak about such people as if they are idiots and will buy whatever shit your pushing.
This is 2015 there is no more "it's just a videogame company" or "he's just a designer"
Wrong. He is a part of a major corporate conglomerate and as such anything he says or does in the public eye (and sometimes private) it's open for judgement and criticism. That's just life today.
He gets no pass for being insensitive to his buyers.
Neither does bungie.
It isn't about emotes it's about expectations of a company to its consumers.
I guess the difference in opinions depends if your an adult with a career who understands business or if your a teen or college student. I would be pressed to say most career working adults with families would lean towards the understanding of how there was a fault committed from a business ethics standpoint.
UPDATE****

Lol actually he is owed an apology from the education system. Fail. Eurogamer: Taken King costs £39.99, which is almost same as base game. Does its content justify that? Luke Smith: I'm going to use American dollars, because British pounds are just foreign to me... Eurogamer: Literally foreign. Here Luke tries to use the word foreign in a figurative sense meaning that English currency is unfamiliar or strange to him. But #fail Which eurogamer immediately picked up on - it is literally, not figuratively, a foreign thing. If he is representing Bungie, a company with international interests, he should not seem so A) uneducated B) America-centric "No I can't even fathom what a pound is, lets please talk in American dollars so I can understand. Pounds are foreign to me." It did make me laugh a lot. Made him seem dumb more than arrogant. Maybe not the best choice for PR and interviews.

1 回覆Why should he apologize. He just said all the shit they have been saying in all the board meetings.
-
1 回覆Yeah bungie has been pretty up their own a-ss about the taken king and basically everything else :/
-
1 回覆I think this is the least they could do. To just publically acknowledge that a lead man messed up.

1 回覆I'm not sure how to answer. Luke Smith was an idiot, and he dealt a huge blow to Bungie's image. However, Bungie does often act like a company that doesn't care about anything but money, which makes his attitude during the interview a fairly accurate reflection of the company.

2 回覆Luke should also have detention on Friday and have to write "I love Destiny fans" 100 times in the chalkboard. Apologize? Are you 12?

45 回覆For what? Saying the emotes are so awesome people will be so excited by them that they'd throw money at the screen? Jesus H. Christ, you people are some sensitive little babies.

由Racebum編輯: 6/24/2015 6:29:43 PMthe one sentence that really stands out is he gets no pass to being insensitive. i really feel for some of you kids when you enter the business world if you expect everything to be polite and sensitive. the gaming industry is a business, it's about money. the comment about throwing money at the screen i took to mean that the content is going to be good enough that we will want to. what he said reminds me more of what i would hear in a meeting than an interview, but, it is what it is. i do agree the double charge policy and ability to only get certain things from a package that includes what we already have is cheesy at best. the thing is. activision has been around a LONG time, they have nearly went bankrupt on more than one occasion. many many other companies since the late 70s have come and gone. personally i don't want more ubisofts or naughty dog cookie cutters, nor do i want pay per content watered down games like advanced warfare. bethesda seems to be my fav gaming company at the moment and i really don't dislike bungie...yet. i think they are insane with killing off auto rifles but overall destiny is an addicting little game, i just would like to see this game go somewhere and get more user friendly. the PvP is broken enough that it makes quite a few people rage when then play it. the lag, hits not counting, running behind your opponents due to host advantage. with a fiber connection i can ping a server in england while living in oregon and get a 170ms ping. that's a clear disadvantage yet crucible games are matched like this. on top of it all that ping will get even worse if either connection is not high end. if i'm getting that on fiber, imagine what dsl would do over copper

1 回覆You sound like a whiny entitled millennial douche....the red bull exclusive will be available to all on 1/1/16. Kotaku is just a bunch of whiners like you

由Kankunation編輯: 6/24/2015 7:02:10 PMI say no. In all honesty what would it accomplish? We know it's not truly how he feels. And this toxic community will rip him to shreds the next time they hear his voice, they won't even listen to what he has to say without immediately tellling him to -blam!- off. Its a futile effort that will only lead to more anger, I'm afraid. No reason to fuel the flames.
